Dream Team Profile

2013 Digest:   The defender had a stop-start season last year after a pre-season injury and twice lost his senior spot for three weeks. When in good nick he is an automatic selection in defence and one of the backmen Carlton needs on deck. This time last year he had a knee injury, but he looks in good nick this time around.

2013 NAB Cup:   Important to have him back and he has been in good shape in all four weeks of the NAB Cup.

2012 Season

Played for : Carlton

1 VFL Worked into the game well after a slow start. -
3 Coll On for Lucas at three-quarter time and was instantly busy. 3
4 Ess Typically tough and dashing but had no influence on the game. 4
5 Frem Looked rusty and decision making the key issue. Limited Mayne. 3
6 GWS Looks to be finding feet after pre-season injury. Steady across half back. 6
7 StK Still looks a little sluggish and decision making not always a strong suit. 4
8 Adel When you have one kick in a game it’s bad – regardless of position. 1
11 Geel Probably surprised with how well he did after injury – attack on footy great. 7
12 WCE Getting back to form, 11 contested possessions and held up OK down back. 6
14 Haw Often used as the extra man in defence. 3
15 Coll Used defensively on Maxwell (15 disp) and kicked three crucial goals. 7
16 NM Couldn’t get a touch early. Last week’s trick up forward didn’t work. 2
17 WB Didn’t get a lot of the footy, but seven tackles were crucial. 5
18 Rich Subbed off early in last quarter 3
19 VFL Controlled the back half against Casey. -
20 VFL One of the Blues best playing as a key defender. -
21 Ess Had Crameri for most of the day and wasn’t threatened often. 5
22 GCS Tried his best in defence. 4
23 StK Matched on taller Stanley. Did a fair job. 5
