Dream Team Profile

2013 Digest:   Barring a minor miracle, this will be his final year (he went public with his intention to retire at season’s end in order to attend the soccer world cup in Brazil in 2014) and first in which his place in the starting 22 is under serious question. Injury restricted him to 11 games and six goals last year on the back of a miserable 2011 finals campaign in which he failed to fire. His best is good enough but will his body allow him to produce it? One of the few 30-year-olds in the competition banking on a productive NAB Cup.

2013 NAB Cup:   Pre-season going well until tweaked hamstring and has been ruled out of Round 1. Big task.
