13 Geel One great goal early but that was about it. Eight kicks but beaten by Lonergan. 3
14 Melb Brilliant. Kicked four goals, took eight marks and rucked well too. 8
15 WB The upgraded 34-year-old rookie enjoyed his homecoming to Etihad Stadium – eight marks and a goal. 6
16 Port Not his day. Kicked one goal though and gave one away. 5
17 Frem Did his job as the back up ruckman. Took some good marks and kicked one goal. 5
18 Coll Battled hard in the ruck but failed to combat Grundy. Had his moments. 3

2016 Season

1 Adel Dragged down a handful of nice marks and kicked two goals. Five kicks. 4
2 Bris Played higher than usual to give space to his fellow forwards. 6
3 Melb Well held for the most part by McDonald but bobbed up with two crucial goals. 5
4 Frem Despite the Roos kicking 20 goals, didn’t hit the scoreboard. Dawson did a fine job. 3
5 GCS Went quietly about his work and booted a couple of goals. 6
6 WB Came to the fore as part of Roo tall forwards taking charge in third quarter. 6
7 StK Chimed in with two goals in his acclaimed 300th game. 5
8 Ess Pretty well held by Grima. Two goals but only two marks. Gave little after half time. 4
9 Carl Had Weitering for company and fairly quiet despite Roos’ dominance. 3
10 Syd Three touches in first half and it didn’t get any better. Horror night from veteran. 2

2 Bris Clarke followed him early. Marked well and was a target. 5
3 Port Tracked by Carlile and unable to break free for long periods. 4
4 Geel One goal but taken to the cleaners by Rivers. 2
5 Haw OK in attack and ended with two goals but didn’t get great supply. 5
6 Rich Lot of early touches up the ground and ended with 10 marks. Handy. 7
7 Ess Two goals opposed to Hurley then hugely influential marking ball in defence late. 7
8 Frem Pushed up the field to find the ball. Kicked poorly. 5
9 Coll Marked strongly but missed opportunities came back to haunt Roos. 6
10 WCE Played down back when kicking into wind and thwarted Eagles. One goal. 6
11 Syd Well beaten by Richards. Unable to mark the ball inside-50. 3
12 GWS Good effort as the main target in attack. Two goals and brought ball to deck. 6

17 Bris On fire. Simply too classy for Lions defender Merrett and Harris. 9

1 Ess Well contained by Hooker and couldn’t pose a threat. Miserable night. 1
2 WB Key focal point, despite close attention from Morris. Two goals. 6
3 Port Starved of opportunities and found it hard to get in the game. 4
4 Syd Took some small steps forward as he strives to find form. 5
5 Coll Will never want to see the gam again. Well beaten by Keeffe. 2
6 Frem Booted two goals opposed to McPharlin and looked to be regaining touch. 5
7 GCS Just the one goal and dropped a few marks he’d normally take. 4
9 Bris Clarke matched on him. Lacked confidence but showed good signs. 4
10 Geel Three goals a good return but missing for periods – four marks. 5
11 WCE McKenzie had the better of their duel and he didn’t impact the game. 6
12 Rich Horrid opening half but kicked four goals after halt time to set team alight. 7
13 Adel Salvaged his night with a late goal but comprehensively beaten by Talia. 3
14 Melb Grabbed 11 marks and looked damaging as a leading forward. 7
15 Bris Star forward for the night with four goals. Too skilful for Clarke. 7

1 Coll Couldn’t make an impact in first half. Started well in third term and finished OK. 7
2 Geel Kicked four in first half then Taylor quelled him. Missed a key shot in third. 7
3 Syd Only six disposals and well blanketed by Richards. 2
4 Bris Returned to form with four goals. 6
5 Haw Had some good patches where marking came to the fore. 5
6 Port The main forward target bagged three goals and beat Carlile. 6
7 WB For once he wasn’t the prime focus in attack. Outpointed Roughead. 6
8 WCE Kept under a tight rein by McKenzie. 4
9 Adel Two goals but not the force the coach would have hoped he could be. 5
10 StK Too big for Saints as forward target and bagged four goals. 7
