2016 Digest:   The ex-Dee had interest from both Port Adelaide and North Melbourne prior to the draft in November but opted for retirement. Was set to play with St Kevin's before the Bombers called. Will added experience in the ruck.

2016 NAB Cup:   Work in ruck vs West Coast was good. Had a short preparation so has done well.

2016 Season

4 VFL Returned from injury and plugged away without being super damaging. -
5 VFL Struggled through without doing anything to suggest a call-up to seniors. -
6 VFL Rucked well and among best but will find it tough to unseat Leuenberger. -
7 VFL Hammered Cat counterparts and was a key to the win. Good effort. -
8 VFL 34 hit-outs, five clearances, four inside-50s and five marks in a better performance. -
9 VFL Four contested marks, 45 hit-outs and a handful of inside-50s. Looking better. -
10 Rich Took a couple of nice marks and battled away. Two kicks, one of which was a goal. 3

12 Haw Big No.2 ruck didn’t cover much ground. Missed three sitters 3
13 GWS Best game as a Bomber. Two goals, six marks and six hit-outs to advantage. 6

1 GCS Put on a clinic in the first half against Smith. Pushed forward to be dangerous too. 7
2 GWS Even duel with Mumford early, then the Giant had a massive impact on the result. 4
3 Adel Great tussle with Jacobs. Honours even. 7
4 Rich Good duel with Maric in the middle. Two warhorses going toe to toe. 6
5 Frem 21 hitouts and battled hard against Freo’s twin towers. 6
6 VFL Won the ruck battle but wasn’t a standout performer. -
7 VFL Didn’t impress sharing ruck duties with Gawn. -
8 VFL Head knock in second term ended his night. -
9 VFL Bye. -
10 VFL 20 hitouts and a goal splitting time between ruck and attack. -
11 VFL Won the ruck battle and got a bit of ball on deck. OK. -
12 VFL Controlled ruck with 54 hitouts but Roosters won clearances. -

2014 Season

1 Casey Scorpions didn’t play.
2 Foot.
3 VFL Slow start but worked into the game after injury layoff. -
4 VFL Dominated the stoppages with 53 hit-outs in defeat. -
5 VFL Spent a lot of time forward where he kicked two goals. -
6 Syd Back in side and had the better of Pyke and Derickx in the ruck. 6
7 Adel Great tussle with Jacobs and snuck down forward with a goal. 7
8 WB Involved in a titanic ruck duel with Minson and managed a goal. 7
9 Rich Almost as many hit-outs as Richmond. Set up the clearance wins. 6
11 Port Got the better of Lobbe in the ruck, but did little at ground level. 5
12 Coll Dominated the ruck against Grundy but was then subbed out in the third term. 5
13 Ess Dominated the hitouts and was a bull in the final term driving the ball forward. 7
14 NM Intriguing battle with Goldstein and probably just shaded the big Roo in the ruck. 6
15 WB Held the Dees destiny in his hands in ruck. Did all he could. Three goals too. 8
16 Frem Brave effort in ruck against Sandilands and pushed forward for a goal. OK. 5
17 Geel Beaten by McIntosh and touched the ball six times. 3
18 Port Monstered Lobbe in the second half to give the Dees’ all the momentum. 7
19 Bris Martin smashed him early but gradually worked back in ruck duels. 4
20 Haw Did most of the ruck work with Gawn forward. Battle hard but wasn’t influential. 5
21 GWS Beaten comprehensively in the ruck by Mumford. Spent time in attack. 3
22 WCE Shared ruck duties with Gawn then pressed forward. Not a big factor. 4
23 NM Even duel with Currie in ruck but took some nice sliding marks. 5

1 Port Battled hard in the ruck. Can at least hold his head up. 5
2 Ess Dropped chest marks, beaten in the ruck. Disappointing night. 3
3 WCE Had 38 hit-outs but smashed around the ground by Cox. 3
4 GWS Still well short of best but could visibly see his workrate lifting. 5
5 Bris Won his fair share of ruck hitouts, but Moloney read him like a book. 5

8 Rich Had nine hit-outs to advantage but still needs to give more around the ground. 4
9 Frem Won plenty of hitouts but too few hit Demon teammates. 4

1 Bris Influence negligible first half and similar after half time. Must lift. 3
2 WCE Competed well in the ruck against Cox and Naitanui. 5
3 Rich Only four marks and two of those when game was all over. Struggled.. 3
4 WB Split honours with Minson in ruck duels. 5
5 StK Had 55 hit-outs and dominated ruck duels. 7
6 Geel Beat West but that wasn’t a hard task. Didn’t cause too many concerns. 4
7 Haw Had the upper hand over Hale, but impact was muted. 5
8 Syd Won in the ruck but Pyke restricted his effectiveness around the ground. 5
9 Carl Battled hard but Warnock had his measure at stoppages with his height. 5
