1 Bris Led the way in clearances for the Suns, and contributed defensively with seven tackles. 7
2 GWS Fought the game out better than most teammates and showed what hard work and pride are all about. 6
3 Haw Racked up plenty of possessions and was workmanlike across four quarters. 8
4 Carl Hampered by a hamstring issue for much of the night and was off his tucker. 3
5 Adel Continues to impress at new club, picking up 36 possessions and two goal assists. 8
6 NM Good ball-winner around the ground in first half but was quieter in the closing hour. 6
7 Geel Tagged Selwood at times but still found time to grab 29 disposals, four inside-50s, one goal and six tackles. 7
8 Port Kicked first goal in China with a scuff off the deck and won his fair share of the ball in a beaten midfield. 6

10 Melb Worked hard throughout and ended with two goals. One of the Suns who at least ran the game out. 7

2016 Season

1 WB Toiled away in midfield but unable to get much going in Freo’s direction. 4
2 GCS Must improve his disposal. Turned the ball over too much. 4
3 WCE Patchy. Found the ball, took some good marks but not damaging. 5
4 NM 11 contested possessions but looked unable to get on the outside like he used to. 5
5 Carl Ball use was poor but he laid 14 tackles. Tried hard. 6
6 Adel Eight clearances, seven inside-50s and eight tackles, a superb midfield display. 8
7 GWS Torrid night – couldn’t get his hands on the footy. 4
8 WAFL Strong response to being dropped with 39 touches, 12 marks. -
9 WAFL Dominant display with 44 touches, 13 tackles and three goals. -
10 StK No impact in first term, but then with two quarters was in the vanguard. 6
11 Ess Tagged Zaharakis and shut him down. Also had 26 disposals. Quality game. 7

1 Port Disposal terrible and cost Fremantle the chance to score too often. 4
2 Geel Huge. Three goals to go with 13 marks and a mountain of touches. 8
3 WCE OK without playing a starring role in midfield. Good signs for team in big win. 5
4 Syd The quietest game of his career with only 11 disposals. 3
5 Melb Part of the engine room that kept the pressure on Dees all afternoon. 7
6 Ess One of his better games this year. Covered the ground well. 6
7 WB Made some uncustomary errors but got his fair share of ball. 6
8 NM Superb effort. Back to his damaging best with 30 touches and two goals. 7
9 Adel Pushed forward in the last term for one of the goals of the game. 7
10 Rich Trucked on in midfield and like many others, much better after half time. 6

1 Coll Had trouble getting a clear kick early but just got better and better. 8

1 WCE Started the season in top form with 27 possessions. Got the Dockers going. 3
2 WB Plugged away in typical low-key fashion but not a huge factor. 5
3 Ess Slippery slog-fest suited his dour style – 12 cont poss, seven clearances. 7
4 Haw Soldiered on in midfield but many of his possessions were by hand. 6
5 Rich Prolific ball-winner and never stopped all night. 7
6 GCS Played a link role through the midfield and got six hard-ball gets. 6
7 Coll Knocked up winning the footy to continue to drive Freo forward. 7
8 Syd Filled out the stat sheet to be comfortably one of Freo's best. 8
9 Melb Had the ball on a string and topped it off with a goal. Superb. 8
10 Adel Ten clearances, eight tackles and goal for a best on ground performance. 9
12 Bris Prolific ball-winner in usual manner. 7
13 NM Knocked up winning the ball until he copped a hit. 7

1 Geel Found the footy quickly and kicked a goal. A ball magnet. 4
2 Syd Came on in second quarter to replace Duffield and made great impact. 6
3 Bris Influential with 25 possessions, six clearances and eight tackles. 8
4 StK Matched up with Hayes initially and won a lot of the ball. 7
5 Carl Slowish start then won a heap of the ball. 6
6 GCS His typical busy self without starring. Kicking is a bit up-and-under. 5
7 Port Won three centre clearances and tackled well. But down on touches. 5
8 Haw Looked to have back problem early but proceeded to win a heap of the ball. 7
9 WCE Kept winning the ball and tackled strongly too. 7
10 Adel Had 26 possessions but rushed many of them. Two goals were crucial though. 7
11 Rich Efficiency down but won some hard footy and relished the wet conditions. 6
13 Ess Influential for three terms then had a bad final quarter. 6
