10 Rich Spent time at both ends like a lot of GWS forwards. 4

6 WCE Played a forward negating role on Hurn, but couldn’t stop him. 4
7 NM Started as negating forward on Atley. Did some good things. 5
8 VFL Split his time between defence and attack with minimal impact. -
9 StK Not only nullified creativity of Fisher but also kicked four goals. Huge effort. 8
10 Port Not as effective as previous week with just the one goal. 3
12 Coll Given negating forward role on Shaw and didn’t quell him. 4
13 Senior emergency.
14 VFL Kicked four crucial goals and gave Cheney a few headaches. -

16 Ess Fumbled his way through the day whether forward or back. Struggled. 2
17 Haw Played defensive forward on Guerra, took a couple of strong grabs. 5
18 WCE Kicked two goals but didn’t always take the best option with the footy. 5
19 Syd Negating forward role on Malceski worked well early then tapered. 4
20 Carl Lively early but fizzled out after the first term. 3

1 WCE Battled Hill for most of the day and conceded three goals. 4
2 Adel Had the job of running with Bernie Vince. 4
3 StK Tried hard without any great impact on game. 5
4 Melb Hard pressed down back. 5
5 GWS Did some nice things running off half back. 6
6 Coll Contested fiercely; seems to be enjoying the McCartney era. 5
7 NM Used in defence on Thomas at times and OK without starring. 4
8 GCS Had the task on Bennell and did fairly well. Only 10 touches himself though. 6
10 Syd Didn’t see a lot of the ball, but used it well when it came his way in defence. 5
12 Port Really come on this year and again mopped up with poise across half back. 6
13 Bris Had trouble with McGrath who got away to kick five goals. 3
14 Ess Contested hard without generating moves. 4
18 VFL Second best for the Seagulls. Good effort. -
19 NM Used as a defensive forward on McMahon and ended with 2.3. OK. 6
20 Rich Used forward again but not same impact as previous week. One goal. 4
21 Syd Kicked four goals and stopped Shaw in a fine effort. 8
