2016 NAB Cup:   Battled a variety of injuries over pre-season and did not make the line for pre-season matches. He’s got some hard yards ahead.

2016 Season

Played for : Brisbane

1 Played in NEAFL trial against Gold Coast.
2 NEAFL Share ruck duties with Smith and was just fair, 18 hitouts and two marks. -
3 NEAFL Used as a ruck/forward with minimal results. Had 14 hit-outs. -
4 NEAFL For a senior player, didn’t provide the experience and strength required. -
5 NEAFL Got better as in the game wore on in ruck. Still has a way to go though. -
6 NEAFL 21 hit-outs to go with nine possessions in the wet. Fair. -
7 NEAFL Bye. -
8 NEAFL Did some handy work when in the ruck with 27 hit-outs. -
9 Melb Never got into the game although some ruck work was handy. Needs to improve. 3
10 Haw Battled in the ruck against Ceglar and McEvoy, and made several basic errors. 3
11 Carl Won the hit-outs and provided Lions with clearance dominance around ground. 6
12 Frem Nothing to get excited about here. 2
13 NEAFL Rucked solidly for 33 hit-outs, but needed to do more around the ground. -
14 NEAFL Dominated the ruck duels with 35 hit-outs and got a bit of ball at ground level. -

16 NEAFL Good outing in ruck with 31 hit-outs and 14 disposals in ruck role. -
17 NEAFL Ruck work solid and OK when resting forward. Disposal was quite poor though. -
18 NEAFL Found it difficult getting involved in the ruck and forward half. -

20 NEAFL Got a bit of the ball around the ground, but papers look stamped. -

1 Haw Emerged as an unlikely goalkicker with three majors. Impressive start. 6
2 Geel Struggled against former club. Just the three kicks and zero impact. 1
3 GCS Good effort in the ruck and around the ground. 5
4 Port Won 22 hit-outs and had a fine duel with Lobbe in ruck. 5
5 Rich Beaten by Hampson in ruck contests. 3
6 StK Good ruck duel with Hickey and took a couple of spectacular marks. 5
7 Syd Solid at stoppages (29 hit-outs) but not enough influence in general play. 5
8 Ess Kept working hard in ruck and broke even with Ryder. 5
9 NM Held his own against Goldstein in first half and put up a fight. 5

1 Haw Little underdone but not really a factor. 4
2 NM Limited impact – eight hit-outs to advantage but not much else. 2
3 Carl Battled hard and better than previous week. Still can improve. 5
4 Syd Nullified Sydney rucks but not a huge game offensively. 4
5 WB Clunked a couple of contested marks, which is a good sign for him. 5
6 Rich Slowly but surely finding some form. Nine hit-outs to advantage and four marks. 5
7 Ess Battled Bellchambers and was able to at least break even. Form improving. 5
8 Coll OK but didn’t have the impact around the ground. Failed to take a single mark. 3
9 Port Rucked well and gave enough around the ground. 5
10 GCS Held his own in ruck and kicked a goal. Form handy but can do more. 5
11 GWS One goal and nine hit-outs to advantage. Not a huge factor. 4

20 VFL Tag-teamed Wood with Bathie and got the better of the ruck duels. -
21 VFL Slow start but worked into the game to have an influence. -
22 VFL Dominated the ruck against inferior opponents to give Cats first use. -
23 Bris Not much around ground but 11 hit-outs to advantage (Leuenberger had six). 5
SF VFL Thrashed Wood in the ruck. Put his hand up for a senior recall. -
PF VFL Battled hard all day and among the better players in loss. -

2012 Season

1 Frem Struggled first half but seemed to spark when Stephenson was subbed off. 4
2 Haw Fumbled at a few crucial times but had 32 hit outs – nine to advantage. 4
3 NM Struggled for impact – eight of his 24 hit-outs were to advantage. 4
4 Rich 31 hitouts but only four to advantage and no real impact around ground. 3
5 Bris Conditions didn’t suit his style of rucking but kept on battling. 3
6 Melb Struggled to get into the game. Form some concern to coach no doubt. 3
7 Adel Well beaten by Jacobs and is struggling to find last year’s form. 4
8 Coll Struggled forward and in ruck. Missed key chance 35 metres out in final term. 2
9 WB Kicked a great running goal early but battled until subbed off for final term. 3
10 GWS Out of form. Fumbled at times and wasn’t a factor around the stoppages. 4

13 Syd Horrible opening three quarters but lifted late to help side make a charge. 4
