2016 Digest:   Returns on the list after 24 goals from 18 games in 2015. Got dropped after the elimination final so is still a fringe player heading into a new year. A handy depth player.

2016 NAB Cup:   Rookie-listed veteran played one game against Collingwood and kicked two goals. Ready to go if he gets the call at any stage.

2016 Season

Played for : North Melbourne

1 Werribee didn’t play.
2 Played in VFL trial against Footscray.
3 VFL Proved to be one of the differences in attack with four smart goals. -
4 VFL Well held for much of the day by Dolphins defenders. One goal. -
5 VFL Bye. -
6 VFL Ended with two goals and was lively in the front half. -
7 StK Buzzed around in attacking zone and did some nice things at time. 4
8 Ess No goals, one inside-50s but did lay seven tackles. Keeps his spot? 3
9 Carl Missed sitter in second term but bobbed up with two final-quarter goals and was handy. 5
10 Syd Mills was his marker for most of the night. One goal from five kicks. Still a fringe player. 2
11 Rich Keen to make the most of every opportunity in this team, but efficiency down. 4
12 Geel Two kicks opposed to Ruggles. Not sure he will stay in the side after that. 1

14 Adel Late tactical call up for Daw, and was disappointing. 3

17 VFL Tackle pressure good early and among the best in beaten side. -
18 VFL Had five inside-50s to go with a goal and 15 possessions. Handy. -
19 VFL Applied great defensive pressure and won 24 possessions. -
20 VFL Good in early exchanges but missed a few chances after main break. Nice hanger! -
21 Haw Got into some good spots but wasted some great chances to set up goals. 3
22 VFL Kicked three goals and took nine marks in front half. A winner on the day. -
23 VFL Kicked three goals and was lively all afternoon forward of centre. -

5 Haw Unable to get into the game to any real effect like he has been. 3
6 Rich Six touches and a ‘gimme’ goal in first half. Added another when game all over. 5
7 Ess Busy performance highlighted by soccer goal in final term. Three inside-50s. 5
8 Frem You wouldn’t have noticed many of his 18 disposals. 4

10 WCE Not dangerous enough on day when ball spent time on deck. Subbed out. 1

20 StK Sub came on late and buzzed around, kicking a goal from close in. 1
21 Frem Opening goal on Sheridan and two goals was good input. 5
22 WB Biggs matched on him and kept him relatively quiet. 4
23 Rich Houli shadowed him early. OK but didn’t work as close to goal as usual. 5

4 Syd A late replacement for Currie, a threat early before being subbed out. 5

9 Bris Worked very hard with his tackling and always involved. 7

1 Carl Sub thrown on early in final term but had no impact. 1
2 VFL Drifted in and out. OK but not worthy of an instant recall. -
3 VFL Busy effort in midfield but not worthy of a recall. -
4 VFL Best game overall in the VFL this year. Attacked and defended. -
5 Frem Sub. Didn’t have the impact coach had planned. One effective disposal. 1
6 VFL Zipped around and pushed forward from the middle. Four goals. -
7 Port Quiet game for the goalsneak and might be under pressure to keep his spot. 4
8 Melb One goal but might be headed back to the VFL. 2
9 Ess Late inclusion for Ellis. Linked up OK through the centre and not disgraced. 5
10 VFL Had 25 possessions and kicked a goal. Improved showing. -

12 VFL Had 20 possessions and two goals to contribute well. -
13 VFL Disappointing outing after some strong VFL form. -
14 VFL Worked hard throughout to end with 28 disposals. -

5 WCE Set up one goal in second term but didn’t get one himself. Quiet. 3
6 Port A thorn in the Port side all afternoon, kicked three goals. 7
7 Syd Looked lively at times but drifted in and out of the game. No goals. 4
8 Ess Hardingham went with him early. Only flashed in and out. 4
9 Haw Had Guerra to deal with and stats not huge but gave a little when he could. 4
10 StK Had a very good third quarter with two goals after a slow start. 6
11 Frem Didn’t get enough footy to be super dangerous but workrate good. 5
12 GWS Didn’t kick a goal and ball use not up to his usual standards. 4
