1 Ess Unsighted for long periods after early knock and wasn't his normal self. 3
2 Adel Early goal was only highlight of a day in which he struggled to find his feet. Four tackles and five inside-50s. 3
3 GCS Looked dangerous when the ball was in his vicinity. The ball was not there much though. 4
4 Geel Three effective disposals in first half and not much better after half time. Is he victim of team around him or just out of form? 3
5 WCE Started in centre square and gave amazing value for his possessions. Not back to his absolute best, but not far off. 7

7 Melb Started brightly then faded as game dragged on. Didn’t kick a goal and just four inside-50s. 5
8 Bris Was moved into the midfield in the third quarter and was dangerous. Injured left knee though and sat out final term. 6

2016 Season

1 Geel Just four touches in the first half. Went one-handed a few times but OK in fightback. 5
2 WCE Used forward and in centre bounce. Backed up Norm Smith display with four classy goals. 8
3 WB A typical 11 touch, three goal pearler from the champ. His finishing was clinical. 7
4 StK Kept extremely quiet for much of the day by Geary. Laid five tackles. 3
5 Adel Every action oozed brilliance be it tackling, marking or soccered goals. 7
6 GWS Hardly sighted in the first half when game was hot. He’ll bounce back. 4
7 Rich Made the most of every disposal with bursts of brilliance. 7
8 Personal leave.
9 Syd Barely had a sniff in first half and swung into middle in third term and tried to lift. 3
10 Bris Superb defensive pressure up forward with eight tackles and was rewarded with five goals. 7
11 Melb Fumbled a few times and wasn’t at his best but tackling in final term was superb. 5
13 NM In such a big game his brilliant efforts were pure gold dust. 7

16 Port Antagonised the opposition with toughness and inspired his teammates with skill. 8
17 Syd Dangerous around the ball. Took a hanger and kicked the winning goal from 50. 8
18 Rich Set game alight with three second-half goals. Excitement machine didn’t disappoint. 7

20 Melb Hawk’s best. Took a screamer, kicked four goals and laid 12 tackles. 9
21 NM Pretty well held but still found a way to kick three goals. 6
22 WCE Took a long time to get involved. There was no Cyril magic. 4

QF Geel Guthrie started on him. Really came into it in second quarter. 6
SF WB Forward pressure enormous early but influence reduced as game wore on. 5

2015 Season

1 Geel Provided some highlight material with some of his efforts One goal. 6
2 Ess Made things happen inside 50 and pressed up into midfield. Solid effort. 6
3 WB Started in the middle and made positive contribution. One huge mark. 6
4 Port Lively up forward, had a great tussle with Pittard. 5
5 NM Lively effort with some special touches and knock ons. 6
6 GWS Battled hard but failed to produce his best up forward and in the middle. 4
7 Melb Allowed to get into game early due to slack marking. Did well. 7
8 Syd Smith on his hammer but lively forward of centre. Two goals. 7
9 GCS Quiet overall. Subbed off at last change for a rest. 4
10 StK Tightly tracked by Webster, normal efficiency down. Some failed exotic tricks. 3
12 Adel One of the most electrifying players ever to play the game. 7

14 Coll Made instant impact, three goals from five kicks in first half. Five by end. 8
15 Frem Burst into the game in second term but was only a role player on day. 5
16 Syd Goals either side of half time put an end to any Sydney uprising. Eight tackles. 8
17 Carl Pretty well held by Buckley but did provide a spark at times. Two goals. 6
18 Rich Missed two set shots in final term that were costly. 5
19 WCE Terrific game and helped to inspire the team. 7
20 Geel Added to highlight reel with six goals from 10 kicks. Great to watch. 9
21 Port Kicked two goals but didn’t have the impact he did last time out. 5

QF WCE One of few Hawks to look threatening when he got the ball but didn’t finish. 6
SF Adel Laird did a great job on him given weight of ball against. No goals, one inside-50. 4
PF Frem Important with his pressure in the final term. Three goals, two the sealers. 7
GF WCE Electric start set up game. Constantly involved in scoring and was unstoppable. 9

2014 Season

1 Suspended.
2 Ess Came to life in second term and among the best. Kicked winning goal. 7
3 Frem Brilliant passages from the start and lit up the whole game at times. 6
4 GCS Not a big game but didn’t have to be. 4
5 Geel One goal in final term but didn’t have a day he will want to remember. 2
6 Rich Morris went with him. Quiet start but brilliant third term with three goals. 8
7 StK Rarely sighted in the first hour, but then made some rapier incisions. 5
8 Syd Got off chain to link between defence and attack then pinged a hammy. 5

12 WCE Subbed after three quarters. Got through and did some great things. 6
13 Carl Lively effort highlighted by three goals and some superb running. 8
14 Coll Struggled to shake Williams. Still flashed brilliance for two goals and six tackles. 6
