2017 Season

1 Syd Skipper ran himself into the ground. Iced performance with two key goals and 10 contested possessions. 8
2 Frem Took a back seat as the rest of his midfielders did all the damage. 6
3 Adel Brought them back into the game with a late goal in the third term. 7
4 GWS Rolled up sleeves and got busy in midfield. Only the 20 touches, but good in front half with two goals. 7
5 Carl Plenty of the ball then left the game in the third term with a hamstring injury. 5
6 Hamstring.
7 WCE Big goal in the last term to give his side a sniff of victory. 6
8 GCS Powerful runner through midfield, although kicks didn’t always hit the mark. Booted a couple of goals, but sprayed a few others. 7
9 Bye.
10 Geel Hardly sighted in first half then got going to give his side a lift after half time. Five clearances but only 12 effective touches. 5
11 Haw Skipper chugged away through the engine room without producing his very best. One inside-50 and one clearance. 6
12 Ess Unable to get much going in midfield to stem the Bomber tide. 5
13 Bris He looks low on confidence at the moment with his own game, yet as a captain he is leading the team well. 6
14 Coll Skipper worked hard but impact wasn’t huge from 21 possessions. Three tackles and 11 contested possessions. 6
15 Rich Makes every possession count, smart player who always keeps the footy moving forward. 6
16 WCE Led strongly and his 25 disposals were important. 6
17 NM More of an outside ball player than inside midfielder these days and is relishing the freedom it presents. 7
18 Melb Played mostly at half forward in role on Hibberd. Kicked four team-lifting goals in a strong outing. 8
19 StK Not as influential as usual in the first half and very quiet later on. 3
20 Adel Got the run with role on Rory Sloane and couldn’t stop his brilliance, did manage to find some of his own footy. 5
21 Coll Pushed forward for two goals and the relief and passion on his face showed just what this victory meant to him and the club. 6
22 WB Began on Murphy then worked into the game. Massive in third term and ended up leading his team to the win. 8
23 GCS Returning to form at the right end of the season, if his form maintains the Power could be the surprise finals packet. 7
EF WCE Quiet start with only six touches in opening half, but had 20 after main break and was influential. 6

2016 Season

1 StK Pushed forward for the Power’s first goal of the season in the opening minute. 5
2 Adel Well below his best yet managed six clearances and eight inside-50s. 6
3 Ess Return to form for the skipper with five inside-50s and a goal. 7
4 GWS Battled hard in the midfield – five clearances and six tackles. 6
5 Geel Eight clearances and worked super hard but impact not enormous – 15 contested possessions. 6
6 Rich Rested forward when not onball. Showed the willingness to work hard that others followed. 6
7 Bris Without setting the game alight ended up with the most disposals on the ground. 8
8 Carl Just three touches in the first half. Slightly better after main break but not his normal self. 3
9 WCE Much better performance this week after being crunched in the opening minute. 7
10 Melb Rediscovered some form in final three quarters in middle. Important contributor in the win. 7
11 Coll Continues to work back to his best form. Tweaked ankle but a strong contributor all day. 7
12 WB Pushed forward for a goal in the second term to put the Power in front. 7
13 Frem One touch in the first term. Needs to do a lot more. 4
15 Rich Did everything: won contests, laid tackles and pushed forward for two goals. 8
16 Haw On the wrong end of a Hodge knee to the ribs, did well to resume. 7
17 NM Prolific ball winner in first half. Kicked important goal in the third term. Top game. 8
18 GWS Back to his best form. Delivered nine clearances and six inside-50s. 8
19 Bris Contributed three goals and had four score assist. Well rounded effort. 7
20 Syd Tried hard to change momentum in midfield but still not at his best. 6
21 Melb Had his moments but unfortunately not enough of them. 6
22 Adel Tremendous game by the captain, did his best to get his side over the line. 7
23 GCS Fairly well contained but injected himself at crucial times. 5

2015 Season

1 Frem Tagged but still had 25 disposals and kicked a goal. 6
2 Syd Only two kicks for game, copped a heavy but fair bump from Franklin. 5
3 NM Slow start but got motor going after half time. Big late with game on line. 7
4 Haw Best on ground with eight clearances, five inside-50s and five tackles. 8
5 Adel Unlucky not to win Showdown Medal with another masterful performance. 8
6 WCE Tried to rally the troops at the three-quarter time huddle to no avail. 6
7 Bris Racked up a team high 27 touches and just lost out in the duel with Beams. 7
8 Rich Willed himself to make a difference but couldn’t get the job done. 7
9 Melb Set the standard for workrate in midfield. Gut running was a highlight. 8
10 WB Started slowly, had a big last term when the game needed to be won. 7
11 Geel Big first term then Cats were able to shut him down to a degree. 5
12 Carl Work-rate enormous but often under pressure. Two goals, four clearances. 7
14 Syd Mitchell wore him pretty well. Got going after half time but short of his best. 6
15 Coll Flew flag after harsh treatment dealt to Westhoff. Quality game. 7
16 Adel Could not have done more, 11 disposals and a goal in the last term. 8
17 Ess Tracked by Z. Merrett at the start. Hurt knee in second term but stayed strong. 7
18 StK Kept pushing himself to every contest even when the game was won. 8
19 WB Tried all day but went missing for long periods. Had little support. 5
20 GWS Struggled for three quarters with the tight marking from Bugg. 6
21 Haw Looked to have hit a wall in third term but got second wind to lead the charge. 7
22 GCS Closely followed by Lonergan, but fought hard throughout. 6
23 Frem As always leads from the front and never takes a backward step. 7

2014 Season

1 Carl Skipper got going after half time to be a force with five clearances, 23 disp. 7
2 Adel In and under all afternoon with six clearances and four inside 50s. 6
3 NM Kicked a goal and had it 30 times. Tried to will his side over the line. 7
4 Bris Power captain is in scintillating form producing seven clearances and a goal. 8
5 WCE Tagged by Selwood and found it hard to break free for much of the night. 5
6 Geel Won the medal with five inside-50s, nine clearances, 16 contested poss. 8
7 GWS Coach Ken Hinkley admitted it was a quiet day; beaten by Greene. 5
8 Frem Broke Crowley’s tag and had 29 possessions. Never stopped moving. 8
10 Haw Best on ground with 10 clearances, seven inside-50s and a goal. 8
11 Melb Battled N.Jones in midfield and was a good contributor in an even battle. 6
12 Ankle.
13 Syd Won the ball well but was forced to handball more than he’d like. Solid. 6
14 WB Seven inside-50’s, two goals and two scoring assists for the Captain. 7
15 Adel The captain tried in vain to get his team over the line. 8

17 Rich Humungous effort to try and drag his team over the line. Couldn’t have done more. 9

19 Coll Tagged by Macaffer and while he won some ball he wasn’t influential. 6
20 Syd Big third term with two goals put Power within sight of victory. 7
21 GCS Dominated around the stoppages to give his team drive into attack. 7

1 Melb Worked into the game in his first outing as skipper. Strong contributor. 7
2 GWS Turned course of game with important and showed the way in midfield. 7
3 Adel Showdown medallist and Port Adelaide captain was outstanding all game. 9
4 GCS Burst to life in the second half after being well held by O'Meara. 7
5 WCE Kicked two goals in two minutes in the fourth term to put Port in front. 7
6 NM Direct duel with opposing skipper Swallow early and then blanketed by Gibson. 7
7 Rich Edwards shadowed him throughout the day, but still had eight clearances. 7
8 Carl Quiet by his usual standards. Battled the game out to the finish. 5
9 Geel Workrate first class and led side with seven clearances and six tackles. 8
10 WB Tagged out of the game by Lower and had no real impact. 4
12 GWS Two first-quarter goals set the Power on their way. Had it on a string throughout. 8

14 Coll Returned to the side with a wonderful performance including seven inside 50s. 7
15 Ess Played in spurts both in midfield and whilst resting forward. OK without being great. 6
