2016 Digest:   He often looked the most dangerous Carlton forward last year and became one of the team’s most important players rather than being a spare-parts man. No surprise he finished top 10 in the best and fairest. Prides himself on his run and will be used as a lead-up forward.

8 Port Kicked three goals in the first half to keep Carlton in the game. Quiet late, but did his bit. 6
9 NM Hardly sighted in attack. Hot and cold form in recent weeks. 3
10 Geel Kicked four goals and showed great poise with set shots. Key to win. 8
11 Bris Had a stinker. Failed to land a tackle and provided nothing in the front half. 3
12 StK One of his quieter days this day and not significant in the overall scheme. 4
14 GWS Couldn’t impact the game early with just four touches in first half. Lifted after main break. 5
15 Coll Zero impact. Poor work-rate and provided little defensive pressure in the front half. 2

4 StK Covered enormous amount of ground from the wing and kicked a couple of goals. 7
5 Coll Gave Seedsman plenty of latitude early. Not his best night. 3
6 Bris Flitted in and out of the contest but rarely hurt the Lions in space. 5
7 GWS Worked up the ground from attack to take 11 marks. 6
8 Geel Laid one tackle and had one inside-50. 3
9 Syd Battled manfully off a wing and forward. Easily among team’s best. 8
10 Adel Looked dangerous in spurts. One goal and seven marks as a third forward. 6
12 Port Three goals in a tight game were critical. Found space inside forward 50. 7
13 GCS Ended with three goals in a pleasing display. Found space inside 50. 7
14 WB Big early mark and goal but subbed out in third term with leg issue. 3

2014 Season

1 Port Showed flashes in early stages then kept out of it. 3
2 Rich Went to dangerous Deledio in second term and quietened him. One of best. 7
3 Ess Allowed forwards space and paid price more often than not – three rebounds. 4
4 Melb Couple of insipid efforts. Dropped a critical mark in third term that was costly. 3
5 WB Started on wing on Macrae in early stages. Did his bit. 5
6 WCE Gave the team a link up player. All of his possessions were uncontested. 4
7 Coll Started on wing on smaller Dwyer. At last won a bit of the ball. 7
8 StK Gave away free kicks, 50 metres and made some awful mistakes. 2
10 Adel Great job nullifying Sloane and laid a game-saving tackle in last 30 seconds. 7
11 Bris One of the better performed Blues. 6
12 Geel Used in variety of roles and worked hard between the arcs. Five rebounds. 5
13 Haw Had a defensive job on Smith and did it reasonably well. 5
14 GWS Found space at Spotless Stadium and dangerous throughout. 7
15 Coll Ran with Young in a great battle. Kicked two goals and drew even with the Magpie. 6
16 StK Best afield early with marking and goalkicking. Never wasted a possession. 8
17 Syd Like many teammates, he was busy early before fading. 5
18 NM On McDonald and started well on wing then hurt knee. Subbed off in second q. 2

2013 Season

Played for : Sydney Swans

1 NEAFL Looked a class above. Played all over the ground. -
2 GCS A real threat on his return, only some wayward kicking cost him a big bag. 5
3 NM Mullett beat him for pace but he contributed a few things. Subbed off in last. 4
4 NEAFL Used in the middle and up forward before being rested. -
5 StK Little impact and subbed off at last change. 2
6 NEAFL Solid game in the midfield. Worked hard both ways. -
7 NEAFL Continued his string form at this level. A class above. -
8 Frem A late inclusion for Mattner, he had his moments in a reasonable display. 5
9 Coll Started on the backline and made himself useful. 5
10 Ess Matched on Crameri who got away for two early goals. Made a contribution. 4
11 Adel Brilliant second quarter and planted his claim on a permanent spot. 6
13 Achilles.
14 Carl Provided some drive, although taking two bounces in the wet was questionable! 5
15 Melb Used in variety of roles and kicked a long goal. Didn’t set world on fire. 4
16 GWS Drifted all over ground to take eight marks and make a good contribution. 7
17 WCE Played his role in defence, although clumsy at times. 5
18 Rich Did few nice things but not a major factor. 4

20 Coll Has had an excellent year, but his place in the side is again looking shaky. 4

1 GWS Missed gimme goal early but joined party later to kick one.13 disposals.. 4
2 NEAFL Rotated between the ruck and defence. Interesting day... -
3 Port Came on half way through the last term and won two clearances. 5
4 NM Played well as a roaming tall forward and kicked three goals. 6
5 Haw Did his bit opposed to Stratton and others. 5
6 Adel Replaced Goodes in final quarter and didn’t have time to make an impact. 1
7 Rich Apart from one nicely weighted kick and one goal did little else. 2
8 NEAFL Floated between the arcs and had little impact. -
10 NEAFL Up and down game playing a variety of roles. -
11 Ess Lovely goal in the run early and used the ball well. 5
13 Geel Kicked winning goal from 50 after subbing on in final term. 2
14 GWS The game-winning sub last week, Everitt started this week and played his role. 4
15 Bris Has been showing some decent pressure skills since his recall to the side. 4
16 WCE Came on as the sub, kicked a goal and set up another shot. 3
