3 NEAFL Tried hard in the back half but came under increasing pressure the longer the game went. -
4 NEAFL Battled hard down back to be one of the Giants best in defeat to Canberra. -
5 NEAFL Battled hard down back to stem the flow. Took 13 marks and had 18 touches. -

7 NEAFL Tried hard down back against the tide. Had 17 touches and defenced extremely well. -

9 NEAFL Resolute down back for much of the day. -
10 WCE Did a job in defence without standing out. 3

1 Played in NEAFL trial against Sydney.
2 NEAFL Bobbed up in attack with two rare goals. Got through game well. -
3 NEAFL Got through another game and will be better for the run. -
4 NEAFL Strong game down back and helped keep Canberra at bay in second half. -
5 NEAFL Big effort in back half, but also driving the ball into attack. 10 marks. -
6 NEAFL Big task on Darren Ewing and probably came away with the points. -
7 NEAFL Bye. -
8 GCS Didn’t look out of place in first game of the year, keeping the dangerous Lynch quiet. 5
9 WB Injured hamstring in first quarter and spent the rest of the day on the bench. 1

10 NEAFL Returned from knee injury and gave good dash from defence. -
11 Haw Superb on Roughead and ran hard to get involved when he could. 6
12 Ess Made a good return and big body in defence was helpful. 6
13 Bris Held his own with Brown til Lion hurt. Briefly off when Brisbane changed set-up. 6
14 Carl As usual, he went about his defensive work with few mistakes and minimum fuss. 5
15 Syd Had his hands full with Franklin but managed eight rebound 50s. 6
16 Adel Solid defender who kept a leash on Walker. 6
17 Frem Had task on Pavlich and certainly not the worst. Injured an ankle late. 4
18 Geel Had Kersten for most of the day and Hawkins for a period. Worked well on both. 7

2013 Season

1 Syd Battled away in the back half and certainly not the worst. 4
2 Port Had his hands full with Schultz . 4
3 StK Interesting tussle with Maister and they shared the honours. 6
4 Melb Tracked Sylvia early and had his hands full. Looked shaky at times. 4
5 GCS Strong workrate down back on May. 6
6 Ess Big first half but treading water late in the game. Not always polished. 6
7 Adel Couldn’t handle Dangerfield in attack and was swamped. 3
8 Haw Given the toughest job of all on Franklin and had a successful day. 7
9 WCE Holding down full back without Davis, he was one of GWS's best defenders. 6
10 Carl Tremendous duel with Waite and broke even. 6
11 Geel Despite couple of decision errors from defence he was superb against Hawkins. 7
12 Port Big task on Schulz and did an admirable job considering the quality of supply. 7
14 NM Had Petrie who got the better of him but not disgraced down back. 3
15 WB Developing each week into a reliable key defender. 6
16 Syd Continued to compete hard but overwhelmed in defence. 3
17 Ess Probably GWS's best defender this season and did a good job on Hurley. 5
18 Coll Knocked out by friendly fire in the first term and was subbed out. 1
19 Melb Kept Fitzpatrick to just the one goal until the Dee got one after the siren. 6
20 Frem Battled hard but ball was whizzing in at a million miles an hour most of the day. 5
21 Bris Did an OK job on watching McGrath. 5
22 Rich Kept Riewoldt to just one goal in a solid performance. 6
23 GCS Worked as the general in defence and got plenty of the footy. 6

2012 Season

1 Syd Awkward kicking deep in defence but great work ethic. Probable cult hero. 7
2 NM Couldn’t contain Edwards as deluge of attacks came downfield. 2
3 WCE Kennedy got him early but fought back well to hold him to three goals. 5
4 Adel Had the job on Walker and came out even. 5
6 Carl Battled away down back and did a pretty good job all day. 5
7 GCS Nothing fancy about him just a good old fashioned defender. 3
8 Bris Given the job on Merrett. Fought back after horror opening quarter. 4
9 Ess Terrorised by Crameri and will learn plenty from it. 3
10 Geel Had Podsiadly and did pretty well keeping him from taking the game apart. 5
12 Rich Had his work cut out given lop-sided inside-50 count but kept on giving. 5
13 Melb Clark tore him a new one in the first term and his day didn’t get any better. 2
14 Syd Had his hands full all night with the Swans’ tall forward line. 4
15 Haw For the second straight week battled down back. 3
