2017 Season

1 Rich Three goals from 14 possessions playing solely as a mid-sized forward was a solid return. 7
2 Melb Dangerous all afternoon in the front half and kicked three goals. Pushed deep into defence at times too. 7
3 Ess Didn’t get into the at all playing role of small forward. Delivery in the wet didn’t help. 2
4 GCS Unable to impact the scoreboard in attack but got a bit of the ball. Fair. 5
5 Port Worked hard but didn’t hurt the opposition forward of centre. 5
6 Syd Jagged four crucial goals, including three in third term that swung the momentum in favour of the Blues. 8
7 Coll Early goal got him and Carlton going and although he faded was a thorn in the Magpie defence. 6
8 StK Led the blues in tackles but failed to hit the scoreboard which his bread and butter. 4
9 Frem Didn’t impact on the scoreboard. His possessions didn’t hurt. 4
10 NM Spent some time in the midfield and collected 24 touches and kicked a goal. Serviceable. 6

12 GWS Jagged an early goal and another late. Two goals in a tight game were critical; 16 possessions. 6
13 GCS Bobbed up with a goal but did not have a big influence on proceedings. 4
14 Rich Worked up into midfield to get his hands on the ball. Just the one major, but had five inside 50s. 5
15 Adel Tackled hard against old mob, but just the 10 touches and a goal. 5

17 WB Chimed in for another three goals to take his season tally t0 23. Could he win the goalkicking for a second straight year? 7

19 Geel Mid-sized forward kicked one goal but was forced up the ground to get a kick. 4

2016 Season

1 Rich Great start to life at new club with three goals. Made the most of his opportunities. 6
2 Syd Blues’ leading ball winner with 26 possessions. Linked up well through middle. 7
3 GCS Handy contribution over the four quarters and booted a goal. 6
4 WB Former Crow battled hard for five inside-50s, four clearances, 13 contested possessions. 6
5 Frem His attack on the ball, especially early, kept Carlton firing. 6
6 Ess Celebrated 100th game with a couple of goals and some handy work around the ground. 7
7 Coll Didn’t hit the scoreboard like he has been doing but worked higher up ground to play part. 6
8 Port Worked up into midfield to get hands on ball but didn’t hit the scoreboard like he has been. 5
9 NM Won a bit of the ball but didn’t get it in dangerous areas like he has at stages this season. 5
10 Geel Five clearances but just the six kicks and no goals. Laid four tackles. 5
11 Bris Came to life in the last term with two goals. Not much before that. 5
12 StK Hard working game and spent time in midfield role as well as forward. 6
14 GWS Work-rate good with nine tackles and finished with 2.1. 6
15 Coll Won a bit of it with 10 contested possessions, three clearances and a goal. 6
16 Adel Kicked sides only goal of second half. Five inside-50s but had 14 turnovers. 3
17 WCE One brilliant banana goal a highlight of another steady effort. Four clearances. 6
18 Syd Took the game on in the midfield. Seven tackles, five inside-50s. 6
19 Haw Another honest performance. Played his role through the middle. Six tackles. 6
20 StK Had 20-odd touches but lacked the threat in front half that he posed earlier in the year. 5
21 Bris Lost out to Gardiner although goal in last term much needed. 4

2015 Season

1 NM Quiet game for the small half-forward. 4
2 Coll Subbed off at three-quarter time after barely being sighted. 2
3 Melb Started as the sub which means a possible stint back in the SANFL. 3
4 WB Bobbed up a bit. 4
5 Port Again wore the green vest, may struggle to hold his spot. 3
6 GCS Pumped the ball inside 50 six times to keep the momentum going. 6
7 StK Working hard for little reward, did manage six inside-50s. 5
8 GWS Looked a long way off 2014 form. No real impact. 4
9 Frem Toiled hard with little reward. 5
10 Carl Chipped in when required playing mainly up forward. One goal. 6
12 Haw Great goal from the “Eddie Betts pocket” in the second term. 6
13 Bris Joined in strongly in final term. 6
15 WCE Starved of scoring chances. Kicked one goal. 4

1 Geel Among best. Won a heap of ball and work-rate up and down ground was big. 7
2 Port Needs to present himself more as a genuine midfield option. 5
3 Syd Won nine clearances while having the run-with role on McVeigh. 6
4 StK Key part of strong start with positive run through middle and in attack. 7
5 GWS Three goals, three clearances and three scoring assists. 6
6 WB Continued good early form starting in midfield and pushing forward. 6
7 Melb Inconsistency a problem for the midfield dynamo. 5
9 Coll Laid five tackles and set up two scoring opportunities. 5
10 Carl Buzzed around for three inside-50s but didn’t hit the scoreboard. 5
11 GCS Started as the sub and played well in the last term. 3

13 NM Justified his return to the side with a gut running display. 6

1 Ess Worked hard all night and rewarded with plenty of the ball. Six clearances. 7
2 Bris 12 contested possessions out of his 17 as he relished the contest. 5
3 Port The Crows’ run-with player but not sure if the role suits him. 6
4 WB Unleashed from his run-with roles and found plenty of the footy. 6
5 Carl Spent time in the middle and wasn’t disgraced. Struggled when forward. 5
6 Haw Named as the sub and if history is a guide may be back in the SANFL soon. 3
7 GWS A lot of disposals and worked hard all day as defensive forward. 6
8 StK Little impact and was subbed off in third term. 3
9 Senior emergency.
10 Dynamic and tireless in the clinches with nine clearances.
11 Rested.
12 Rich OK but like many teammates didn’t really impact the game to any degree. 5
14 GCS The sub played virtually a full game and kicked four goals. That's impact! 7
15 WCE Couldn’t back up his four-goal effort from previous week and was relatively quiet. 4
16 Coll Williams beat him and he was subbed off at three-quarter time. 3
17 Geel Two first-quarter goals and ended with four to be a game-breaker. 7
18 Frem Had Duffield for company. Tackled hard in forward half. 5

3 SANFL Used the ball well all day. Pressed his claims for a recall. -
4 GWS Great first game of the year with 23 disposals and a goal. 7
5 Port Great contributor all over the ground, kicked a goal in second term. 7
6 Syd Had a solid game without playing a pivotal role. 4
7 Geel Best term was the third but from team aspect he played his part. 5
8 Carl Forward pressure good with five tackles and was a handy contributor. 6
9 Coll Kicked the Crows’ first goal, missed gettable chances later in the game. 5
10 Frem Dangerous across half-forward. Kicked three goals in a great performance. 7
12 StK Contributed with two goals. 5
13 NM Worked fairly well. 5
14 Rich Sacrificed his own game to shut down Cotchin after quarter time. 7
15 Port Had the tough assignment on Travis Boak and won his own ball as well. 6
16 GWS Another terrific contributor to a dominant team performance. 8
17 WCE Six clearances, three inside 50s and a goal, his best game for the Crows. 7
18 Geel Only three kicks but six clearances. Real workhorse effort around the ball. 6
19 Ess Playing a more defensive minded role and sacrificed own game for the team. 4
