2017 Season

1 NM Had hands full at stages with North's resting ruckman. Yet to return to best form after knee reco. 4
2 Soreness.
3 WAFL Tried hard down back and was one of the better East Perth defenders. -
4 WAFL Battled bravely in defence against wave after wave of Subiaco attacks. -
5 WAFL Strong game in defence to keep the Demons' at bay. 19 possessions, 11 rebounds. -
6 WAFL Did his job well in the back half. 14 possessions and is pressing for a recall. -
7 WAFL Bye. -
8 WAFL Played forward and then went into the ruck. Took some good marks and kicked a goal. Handy. -
9 WAFL Spent time in attack and even through the ruck, then down back. Tried hard, but not his best. -
10 Senior emergency.
11 GCS Hands full with Lynch throughout. Tried his best but was ultimately beaten. 4
12 Bye.
13 Geel Kept Menzel out of the game for long periods and took some timely marks. Strong performance in the back half. 6
14 Melb His confidence is clearly rising. Taking marks now instead of just spoiling. 5
15 WB Kept Stringer stat-less in first term and a sterling defender throughout. 6

22 GWS Took care of Cameron when he was on him but had some shocking moments with the footy in the last term. 4
23 Adel Strong defensive game. Held up under extreme pressure. 6
EF Port Monstered at times by Dixon, but stuck to task. Saved game in dying second of regular time by not rushing behind. 4
SF GWS Helped get them into a semi final, but was a non-factor all night. 3

2016 Season

1 Bris Mackenzie has become more confident with the ball since his injury. 5
2 Haw Had a range of opponents in Hawks rotating forward half. Made some costly mistakes. 3
3 Frem Solid game. Pushed forward for a rare goal too. 6
4 Rich Opponent Riewoldt was one of Richmond’s few shining lights. 5
5 Syd Had time on Tippett and Franklin and beaten overall. 4
6 Coll Had hands full at times in defence. Collingwood’s talls played well. 5
7 Geel Three kicks from the back half and looked all at sea at times. Still finding feet. 3
8 StK Still finding his feet in return to top level and was OK. 5
9 Port Great tussle with Dixon, kept him honest. 6
10 GCS Spent time on Lynch. The Eagles stopped Gold Coast from getting the ball forward. 5
11 WB Took resting ruckman and Redpath at times. Certainly not the worst of the defenders. 5

13 WAFL Played first WAFL game since 2011 and was solid in back-line. -

15 WAFL Strong defensively and finished with 22 disposals, 10 marks. -
16 WAFL Dominant at full-back on Ricky Cary and had 17 touches. -
17 WAFL Another strong performance defensively and had 20 touches, six marks. -
18 Melb Still struggling with the zone style of defence. 4
19 Coll Had a horror afternoon in back half. Beaten in the air and fumbled when he got the ball. 3
20 WAFL Solid up against Taberner with 18 touches, seven marks. -
21 WAFL Not a great day against Subiaco's forwards with 14 touches, six marks. -
22 WAFL Good game down back but not needed by Eagles even without Barrass. -
23 WAFL Good effort again as a key defender with 20 touches and nine marks. -

2014 Season

1 WB Horrible mistake early cost a goal but after that he was superb across half back. 7
2 Melb Had Howe in his back pocket and even ran off him to kick a goal. 7
3 StK Went to Riewoldt late and was only defender who could stay with the Saint. 6
4 Geel Battled Hawkins and did OK to keep him to three given Cats had 62 inside-50s. 5
5 Port Won plenty of ball in defence despite standing Schulz. Port man kicked two though. 6
6 Carl Solid in defence rotating between the Blues’ talls. 6
7 Frem Was good on Pavlich keeping him scoreless. 7
8 GWS Kept Patton quite then the Giant was switched to defence. 6
10 WAFL Did the business on Cloke all night and tried to provide some run. 8
11 NM Good job down back on Petrie. 6
12 Haw Destroyed by Roughead. Rarely loses his position but did this time. 3
13 GCS Took 14 marks in defence to steady the ship. 7
14 StK Played on Riewoldt and did a satisfactory job against a restricted Saints’ skipper. 5
15 Frem Got the better of Pavlich and was strong down back all afternoon. 7
16 Syd Did everything in the rules (and sometimes out) to keep Franklin under wraps. 6
17 Bris Good first half (nine touches) and then faded (four after half-time). 5
18 Rich Had the better of Riewoldt but conditions did suit defenders. Moved well. 6
19 Adel Great tussle with Walker despite conceding four goals. 5
20 Coll Great job on Cloke. Clearly won that battle. 7
21 Ess Went to Daniher and was tight as usual. 6
22 Melb Intercepted well down back and gave drive when allowed time to run. 6
23 GCS Lynch caused issues in the air early but as team got on to so did he. 5

2013 Season

1 Frem Did a good job on Pavlich until a hamstring strain ended his night. 6

4 Carl Just plodded in defence and is yet to find anything close to his best. 3
5 Port Kept Schulz goalless and was steady all evening. 7
6 WB Most of the time he was on Jones. Unobtrusive. 5
7 Bris Dominated the contest with Brown. Shut down Brisbane’s avenue to goal. 8
8 NM Big job on Petrie and kept the big fella under wraps for most of the night. 7
9 GWS Had his moments in an entertaining battle with Cameron. 5
10 Rich On Riewoldt who was in trouble once he started to move in second term. 2
11 StK Solid on Riewoldt and then Maister. Bolted down ground to kick winning goal. 5
13 Haw Had task on Franklin in what was a great battle. More than held his own. 6
14 Ess Good job on Hurley in first half then had resting rucks. 5
15 Adel Kept Jenkins to one goal and saved the Eagles many times in defence. 7
16 Frem Had a good duel with Pavlich and overall was on top. 6
17 Syd An invaluable driving force from half back with long kicks rebounding from defensive 50. 7
18 WB Had job on Jones and gave him a bit of a lesson all match. Steady effort. 7
19 GCS Solid worker down back and ventured forward for a goal. 6
20 Ess Sturdy effort down back and relishing an injury-free run for once. 6
21 Geel Did a sound job on Podsiadly given the weight of ball. Among best. 7
22 Coll Kept Cloke to three goals, not a bad effort given weight of ball against. 6
23 Adel Solid down back on Johnston. 5

2012 Season

1 WB Had Jones covered and was steady. Not much offensively. 6
2 Melb Had his hands full with Mitch Clark who kicked five goals. 4
3 GWS Blanketed Folau but the ball wasn’t kicked in their direction often. 5
4 Haw Strong game on Franklin. But lucky the Hawk was off target with 1.6. 7
6 NM A good defensive game. Spoilt strongly. 6
7 Ess Outgunned by tall resting forwards 3
8 StK Lost his battle with Riewoldt but still won some key one-on-ones. 5
9 Frem Did his job. Would have liked barely having the ball close to Freo’s goal. 6
10 Bris Played well in patches. 5
12 Carl Troubled by Henderson at some stages but held his own. 5
13 Coll Started on Cloke and torched in second term. 3
14 GCS Had little trouble. The Suns forwards never threatened. 6
15 NM Not an eye catcher but Petrie didn’t shine so has to be rated effective. 6
16 Syd Reid kicked three goals and took the points. 5
17 Adel Took some telling marks in defence repelling several Crows attacks. 5
18 Bris Solid on Brown. The Lion kicked three goals but two were in the last term. 5
19 Frem Thrashed by Pavlich. 3
20 Geel Hawkins threatened to tear him apart but was saved from the fate. Just. 3
21 Port Always gets the opposition’s best forward but came off second best to Schulz. 4
22 Coll Destroyed Cloke. Kept him scoreless. 7
EF NM Side so in control he kicked first goal of his career. Didn’t have much to do. 4
SF Coll Had the major job on Cloke and threw everything at the big fellow. 7
