2016 Digest:   Has now played 44 games at Melbourne since crossing from Collingwood but has managed only 43 goals – a poor return for a key forward on a good salary. Had his fair share of injury niggles though, including a calf over summer.

2016 NAB Cup:   His troublesome calf flared prior to NAB Challenge and he is expected to be sidelined until Round 4.

2 GWS Presented well early on return but didn’t make the most of chances. 4

5 GCS Continued to present up at the ball. Radar was awry in front of goal which hurt. 6
6 Syd Continued to present up forward but caught flat-footed at times. 5
7 Adel Back to his bullocking best with three goals and four inside-50s. 8
8 WB Just one goal but had an undeniable presence. Cleared a path for others. 6
9 Rich Provided a great marking target and his eight tackles set the tone. 7

12 Coll Battled hard against his old team but Frost was amazing closing him down. 4
13 Ess Continued to present at half forward but wasn’t able to hit the scoreboard. 4
14 NM Kicked three goals and provided a target inside 50 but Thompson got a lot of it. 6
15 WB Struggled to break free from Morris early but played a key role in third term. 5
16 Frem Even duel with McPharlin and never stopped presenting. 5
17 Geel Hammered by Taylor but kept battling without impacting the game. 3

7 GCS Grabbed four uncontested marks but didn’t have a shot at goal all day. 3
8 Rich Provided a target and kicked 2.1 in an encouraging effort. 6
9 Frem Starved up forward. Gave a contest when it came his way though. 3
10 Haw Stood up with 12 marks and five inside-50s. Dees’ best. 8
11 Coll Tried hard but injured foot before half time and subbed out at the half. 2

13 StK Borderline inclusion after knee injury – also ill on Friday. Struggled and subbed. 2
14 WB Slotted three goals in impressive performance. Displaying leadership qualities. 6

2012 Season

1 Haw Didn’t kick a goal and failed to get the ball in dangerous spots. 3
2 Rich Picked up by Grimes. Worked hard in packs to generate handball. 4
3 Carl One good moment (a nice goal) in three rounds of footy to date. 3
4 Port Kicked 1.1 from 15 disposals in slightly improved effort. Can still do better. 4
5 Ess Conditions didn’t suit. Form must be a concern to the coach. 2
6 WB Still quite out of sorts in what’s got to be a concern for the coach. 3
8 Geel Again showcased lack of awareness or footy smarts. Couple of good marks. 4
9 Adel Had Talia as his opponent and couldn’t shake him. 3
10 GCS Started OK but failed to go on with it. Didn’t kick a goal and never dangerous. 3
11 Melb Got a bit of footy but zero impact. Bronx cheers late. 2
13 WCE OK early then his influence diminished but he did keep Glass occupied. 4
14 Frem Three goals, all from unconventional means. Two when game all over. 5
15 Carl Out-of-form forward’s horror run continued. Coach has to make a call. 2
