5 VFL Got through the game but was managed with game-time. Had 20 touches and laid six tackles. -
6 VFL Nabbed five clearances to go with 20 possessions. Handy enough, but has a way to go before senior call up. -
7 VFL Nearing a senior return after an impressive effort. Had 32 possessions and laid four tackles. -
8 VFL Not big numbers – just 20 touches, but tackled his heart out. Has grunt some senior teammates lack. -
9 WB First game of the season and laid 17 tackles to go with 17 disposals in what was a pleasing return. 7
10 Port Laid 17 tackles to make it 34 in two weeks. Only 15 possessions but able to influence flow around the ball. 6
11 Adel Started to find some ball (26 disposals) to go with 10 tackles which was again team leading. 7
12 Bye.
13 WCE Went to Mitchell/Shuey at times but not as strong as he has been. Eight tackles but ended the game on the injured list. 3
14 Frem Looked sore but kept battling. Laid seven tackles and was great in final term. 6

18 Adel Looked rusty. Why he didn’t go to Sloane to tag is mind-boggling given he was offering nothing offensively. 1
19 Carl Working back into form and was a key with nine tackles and workrate around the ball that ended with 26 possessions. 7
20 Syd Threw himself at man and ball with abandon. Ended with 13 tackles, 26 possessions and eight clearances. 8
21 Rich Provided the midfield grunt with a game high 13 tackles. Worked his backside off. 7
22 Coll Never stops trying. Again led the team in tackles with 12 and used footy pretty well. Three inside-50s and handy pressure. 7
23 GWS Matched to Shiel/Ward and gave great presence around the footy. Laid 12 tackles and won 22 possessions. 7
QF Rich Midfield workhorse spent time tagging Cotchin. Actually tried his backside off; 27 touches and eight tackles. 7
SF Syd Kennedy tag at times and worked in and under like a prized ferret at a rabbit finding contest; 10 tackles and seven clearances. 7
PF Adel Injured early and while returned he was not a factor at all; 10 effective disposals. 4

16 VFL Long awaited debut netted 17, a goal and two tackles. Pulled up well. -
17 VFL Kicking efficiency down but worked hard for five tackles, four clearances. -
18 VFL Grabbed 29 touches, five clearances and seven tackles. Nearly ready for call-up. -
19 VFL Laid nine tackles to go with 25 disposals. Now has four VFL games under his belt. -
20 Ess Tagged Zaharakis on debut and was effective in that role. Will get better. 5
21 Rich Tagged Cotchin and did it brilliantly. Won the ball and a key one-on-one late. 7
22 Bris Quietly went about winning some ball while minding Zorko and Hanley. Steady. 6
23 Hamstring.
QF Haw Tagged Mitchell and did the job OK. Presence around the ball was handy. 6
PF Syd Battled hard but didn’t impact flow of the game. Six tackles and three inside-50s. 4

2015 Season

1 WB Ran with Bontempelli in parts but ran out of puff after limited pre-season. 5

8 StK Returned as sub and came on in third term. Did a bit. 3
9 Geel Still finding his feet but got more involved as the game wore on. 5
10 NM Still finding his feet and failed to feature in any department. 3
11 Ess Kicked a goal and had four clearances. Finding his feet again. 6
12 Rich Handy in first half and won his share of the footy. 6
14 Melb Sub. Ball use was wayward when he came on. 2
15 Adel Good with his hands. Missed a shot for goal that he needs to convert. 5
16 Coll Hurt knee late first term, but soldiered on although seemed restricted. 4
17 Syd Sub. Got on late and set Kennedy up for a goal. Won’ be sub next week. 1
18 GCS Not afforded much opportunity but tried to get busy. 2
19 Haw Not prominent in the midfield but laid eight tackles. 5

1 WB Ran with Cooney and kept him from getting footy in dangerous spots. Among best. 8
2 Melb Had it 21 times but gave away plenty of frees. Fair. 5
3 StK Injured along the way, but kept a tight rein on Armitage. 6
4 Geel Battled hard opposed to his brother at times. Never stopped trying. 6
5 Port Ran with Boak and held him in check for much of the night. 7
6 Carl Won nine clearances so was hard in the contests all night. 7
7 Frem Stopped Fyfe in his tracks in the second quarter. 7
8 GWS Good battle with Ward in the middle of the ground. Just got the points. 7
10 Coll Tagged Pendlebury and did it well for three quarters but Pie skipper got away. 6
11 NM Heated battle tagging Harvey but the North veteran was a clear winner. 4
12 Haw Never looked like having an impact with his 19 possessions. 5

1 Frem Took on Fyfe and battled hard. Tackling was a feature of his effort. 5
2 Haw Worked tirelessly all game. 6
3 Melb Laid 12 tackles and pumped the ball Inside-50 seven times. A real warrior. 1
4 Carl Great first half then Carrazzo quelled him a little. Game high 16 contested possessions. 8
5 Port Ran with all the Power key onballers and found plenty of his own footy. 8
6 WB Fierce in tackling and won touches as he didn’t seem to have negating role. 6
7 Bris Like Priddis he enjoys the tough stuff. In an under with the best of them. 7
8 NM Wells got hold of him early but tightened up after quarter time. Just shaded on the night. 6
9 GWS Put in a trademark shift around the clearances and sending the ball forward. 6
10 Rich Big jobs on Cotchin initially and Deledio. Kept pumping away 6
11 StK Despite the tag of Ross he had a prolific game. 7
13 Haw Six clearances and 11 disposals in first half and ended with nine and 13. Tough effort. 7

21 Geel Tagged brother Joel who won the points. Did have 17 cont poss and eight clearances. 7
22 Coll Had Pendlebury at times but swamped. To his credit he showed grit to grind it out. 7
23 Adel Gave everything in demanding role on Dangerfield in midfield, and had his share of ball. 7

1 WB Huge in the engine room and helped side keep pressure on all match. 7
2 Melb Best on ground with 34 possessions, eight clearances and three goals. 9
3 GWS One of the Eagles best with 31 touches in the midfield. Improved player. 8
4 Haw Another strong ball winning performance. 7
5 Rich Ran with Cotchin and while he had 22 disposals Cotchin was damaging. 6
6 NM Collected 35 possessions, nine clearances and kicked a goal. 8
7 Ess Very quiet first half. Copped knock. 4
8 StK Had 31 possessions and won lots of contested footy. 7
9 Frem Stopped Hill. That was more important than ball winning this week. 6
10 Bris One of few Eagles to contribute in every quarter. 6
12 Carl Played a crucial role in completely blanketing Judd. 9
13 Coll Tagging Beams at opening but had problems that never ceased. 4
14 GCS Great job restricting Ablett and also won 11 clearances. 8
15 NM Picked up Wells initially. Solid job. 5
16 Syd Tough around the contests. Won nine clearances. 7
17 Adel Three clearances and three inside 50s for the tough run-with player. 6
18 Bris Not finding the ball like he did earlier in the season. 5
19 Frem Made some key errors and gave Hill more space than usual. 5
20 Geel Plugged away in the midfield for 10 clearances and five insdise-50s. Solid. 8
21 Port The younger Selwood was everywhere with five clearances and seven tackles. 9
22 Coll Played on Beams. The Pie found the ball but wasn’t as effective as usual. 6
23 Haw Workrate superb and had 20 contested possessions to be side’s best. 8
EF NM Ran with Swallow at times yet still found heaps of footy himself. Top effort. 7
SF Coll Tracked Beams early and fought hard to limit the Pie’s influence. 5
