1 Rich Battled hard down back but at times disposal let him down. Did what he could. 5
2 Melb Didn’t make any glaring errors, but wasn’t a big factor either. 4
3 Ess Conditions suited his style but made the most of it to be a handy performer backward of centre. Won some ball to boot. 7
4 GCS Minimal impact overall on the contest. Chocolates to boiled lollies. 3
5 Port Tried in vain to curb the onslaught but it was all too much for the young Blues defence to contain. 4
6 Syd Defensively solid all day and found a way to gather 16 disposals. Played his role and played it well. 6
7 Coll OK on Elliott until the energetic Magpie got more mobile. 4
8 StK Part of defence that held up pretty well under extreme pressure. Serviceable afternoon. 5
9 VFL Very good effort down back. Had 26 possessions and provided strong leadership. -

12 VFL Set the Blues up in defence and didn’t give too much room to his opponents. -

1 Rich OK down back but wasn’t an overly influential perfomer. Steady. 5
2 Syd A solid four-quarter effort. Showed courage in the air and on the deck. 6
3 VFL Fought hard down back and did what he could in a reasonable effort. -
4 VFL Stood firm down back all night and gave great direction to teammates. -
5 Senior emergency.
6 Ess Battled hard up forward then pushed into defence when Weitering went down. Provided something. 5

9 NM Given the job on Brown and had hands full. 3
10 Geel Great game. Did the right things at the right time and showed courage at times. 7
11 Bris Hard as a cat’s head. Intimated his opponents and was disciplined as always. 6

14 GWS Got the better of the in-form Shaw in negating forward role. 7
15 Coll Provided little in attack after an early goal. Only one tackle. 3
16 Adel Good first half then tended to drift out of the game. Certainly not the worst. 5

2 WCE Injured knee early in opening term and subbed out after failing to touch the ball. 0

8 Geel Hawkins monstered him at times. Two tackles. 3

10 Adel Took Walker and did a good job nullifying him which was his priority. 6
12 Port Went to Westhoff and did an admirable job given he was giving away size. 5
13 GCS Battled hard down back but undersized on Lynch. 4
14 WB Had hands full with Redpath at stages but fought on well. 6
15 Rich Did a pretty solid job down back on Riewoldt despite conceding a few goals. 5
16 Frem Great job on Fyfe. Keeping him goalless and to 23 touches was a big effort. 7
17 Haw Used in midfield at times and while got a few touches not many were effective. 3
18 NM Tracked Waite and was run right up the ground. Not his night. 3
19 Coll Ran with Pendlebury but couldn't rein in Magpie's impact. 3

4 VFL Up and down game. Tried hard in a few roles. -
5 WB Handed the job on Crameri and couldn’t restrict him. 3
6 WCE Held his own on Darling. 4

8 StK Quiet night playing mostly in defence. Will he keep his spot? 2
10 Adel Kept Walker to one goal which was a pivotal win in a tight match. 6
11 Bris Did an unspectacular but effective job on Paine. 5
12 Geel Odd selection as sub. Played in two bursts, neither of which impacted. 1
13 Haw Plugged away in defence and did a few good things. Held up OK. 5
14 GWS Unable to get his teeth into game, subbed out in the third term. 4

1 PM Played at both ends. One of the Blues better players. -
2 VFL Pretty good in defence against a potent attack. -
3 VFL Chopped off multiple Gold attacks. One of Blues best. -
4 WCE Used forward and back and quiet until subbed out in final term. 3
5 Adel Used as a swingman and hard at the contest. 5
6 Melb Used in the back half and nice complement to Jamison/Henderson. 6
7 StK Third defender took Siposs who wasn’t a huge factor for Saints. 5
8 Port Strong in the air in defence and never shirks an issue. Solid. 5
9 Bris Subbed in third term. No disposals, one tackle. 0
10 GWS Played tall and allowed Henderson to spend time forward – solid. 5
11 Ess Started in Crameri and was good until final term. 5
12 VFL Did a good job on Lourey to keep him to two goals. -
14 Syd Inconspicuous game down back opposed to White. Subbed off with hamstring issue. 3
