1 Melb Had a nondescript day and never established a foothold in the game. 3
2 WCE Needs to get more of the ball. Defended but the Saints need some run from him. 4
3 Bris Bombed the ball long too often off half back when he needed to lower his eyes. Just the 12 possessions. 3
4 Senior emergency.
5 VFL Had it 27 times and recorded six rebounds. Good without being great however. -
6 VFL Seven inside-50s to go with 29 touches in a quality display on the outside for the Zebs. -
7 VFL Too good for VFL footy. 27 touches, six rebounds and seven inside-50s. Can he replicate it consistently at the next level? -
8 VFL Big ball winner on the outside and played a strong role in keeping Sandy in the game. -
9 VFL Can hold his head high. 29 possessions and two goals in loss. Return to seniors on the cards? -
10 WB OK without making a big impact. Needs to utilise kicking more. 4

20 WCE Again looks to have regained self belief and had a very good game. 6

22 NM Kicking was good out of defence and has re-established consistency in his footy. 6

2016 Season

1 Port Costly turnovers kept Port Adelaide in the contest when the Saints were on top. 4
2 WB Used ball well running off half back but wasn’t overly influential. 5
3 Coll Best game for Saints? Got involved all over the field and pushed up the ground to make something happen. 8
4 Haw Provided great drive off half back against former club. Always looked to be positive in possession. 7
5 GWS Damaging with his foot use. Had early trouble with defensive role on Green. 6
6 Melb Good off half back till last change. 6
7 NM Accurate kicking from defence was a feature. 7
8 WCE One of better Saints but he had one clanger that will give him nightmares. 5
9 Ess Not a huge day down back but did his bit. 5
10 Frem Strong efforts off half back in his 100th game. 6
11 Adel Kept working hard and trying to generate run off half back. One of better Saints. 5
12 Carl Apart from one ill-advised short pass he used the ball precisely. 6
14 Geel Often found himself against vastly taller opponents but held his own in defence. 5
15 GCS Hardly seen in first half and although he lifted couldn’t cut through. 3

18 WB Welcome return after brief absence. Long kicking a bonus. 6

20 Carl Polished whenever he had the ball in his hands at half back. 5
21 Syd Had a pretty good game at half back but like others was over-run in third term. 5
22 Rich Strong game in defence and generally used ball well. 6
23 Bris Played in a wing role. Copped a couple of heavy hits and corked his hip. 4

2015 Season

1 GWS Powerful kicking a feature all day and one of Saints’ best. 7
2 GCS Incisive kicking from defence and midfield set up Saints moves. 7
3 Coll Again effective giving run and kicking penetration from half back. 6
4 Carl Identified as threat by Carlton and Armfield played defensive forward role on him. 3
5 Ess Quiet day before straining hamstring and being subbed out in last term 4
6 WB Subbed early with concussion. 1
7 Adel Played his part in the midfield rotations and was serviceable. 6
8 WCE Sometimes didn’t get into position to roost normal long kicks but still OK. 6

10 Haw Sub came on in third and made real impact in attack against his old club. 3
11 Melb Reasonable game running out of defence. 6
13 WB Reasonable game without being a standout. 4

1 Melb Quiet first game for new club but will adjust. 3
2 GWS Sub came on late and won some touches but sprayed it. 2
3 WCE Sub came on very early for Gilbert and contributed. 5
4 Adel Another quiet game and hasn’t hit his straps yet. 4
5 VFL Welcome return to form with 27 touches. Needs to back it up. -
6 Bris Sub came on early for Templeton and showed his best form for Saints. 5
7 Haw Hardly sighted. 2
8 VFL Barely sighted early but was better after main break. -
9 VFL Tagged out of the game and looked disinterested. -

12 VFL Going poorly. Just 14 possessions, in terrible form. -
13 VFL Best on ground in a welcome return to form. 29 touches. -
14 WCE Showed his best football at senior level since joining Saints. 5

1 Geel Quiet first half (4 disp) but kicked two goals. 4
2 WCE Came in as sub when Gunston withdrew. Had a few touches. 2
3 VFL In and out of the game but had an impact with his touches. -
4 Frem Late inclusion. On early as a sub and had minimal impact. 3
5 NM Sub came on for Bailey and had a few touches. 2
6 VFL Used the ball brilliantly to help break the game open. -
7 VFL Bye. -
8 VFL Lively effort again at this level. Always competes hard. -
9 VFL Box Hill’s best in win. Made his mark in every aspect of the game. -
10 VFL Had 23 possessions and played his role fairly well. -

12 VFL OK early. Sat out the second half as a precaution. -
13 WCE Ran with Masten at times in good battle. Two goals and used ball well. 6
14 Bris Trying to make the most of every chance while others are out. 6

1 Coll Kicked two great goals and gave great drive at times. Handy performer. 6
2 Geel Matched up with Bartel. Had a bit of the ball but the champ had edge. 5
3 Adel Subbed on late for Birchall. 2
4 WCE Laid eight tackles so was always involved in the game. 6
5 Syd Matched on Goodes early. Won a share of the ball. 5
6 StK Will be kicking himself for inexplicably hitting post from 15m in first. 5
7 Melb Ran hard and was busy. 5
8 Frem Sub came on in third quarter. 3
9 Rich Horrible day. Couldn’t get near the footy and stat sheet suggest as much. 2
10 NM Just the nine touches. Not his most prolific day. 3
11 Port Despite not getting much of the footy managed four inside 50s. 3
