1 NM Copped a knee in the back early, but came back and showed a bit in the ruck and forward. Took some good marks. 5
2 StK Tried hard in the ruck but was beaten by Hickey. 3
3 Rich 28 hitouts, but did nothing else. Quiet. 4
4 Syd Shared ruck duties with Giles and was good in that role with 22 hitouts and 10 touches. Stringing together games. 5
5 Haw Shouldered most of the ruck duties with Giles a late out. Okay in early exchanges, but McEvoy eventually got well on top. 4
6 Frem Fought on with little impact after hurting his elbow early. 3
7 Port Worked in tandem with Giles and couldn’t contain Ryder. 3
8 WB Good work in the ruck. Battled hard. 5
9 Ess Tried hard and took some nice marks in the ruck, but was beaten at the stoppages by Leuenberger. 5
10 GWS Beaten by Mumford but kicked two goals. 5
11 GCS Useful at times, though not a major influence in the match. 4

13 Geel Relished shot at former club and was best ruckman on the ground. Geelong couldn’t get him to perform like that? 7
14 Melb Beaten by Max Gawn early but fought back strongly. 6
15 WB Not as influential as in previous fortnight but his last five minutes were memorable (including the last goal). 5
16 Port Well beaten by Ryder. Couldn’t get his hands on the ball. 3
17 Frem Needs to win the ball more but had 32 hit-outs. 5
18 Coll Was destroyed in the ruck and just 4 disposal. Zero impact…might have wondered back to Geelong, he was that invisible. 2

20 WAFL Booted two goals and had 17 hitouts as he works back to form. -
21 Carl Did well in his contest with Kreuzer. Battled hard all night. 6
22 GWS Had a crack around the ground but only had six disposals. 3
23 Adel Beaten in the ruck but took three contested marks. 5
EF Port A competitor in the ruck in rotation with Petrie and knock on that led to late goal was important. 5
SF GWS Took most of the ruck duties and upstaged by Lobb’s athleticism. Just a handful of touches. 3

4 VFL Returned from foot injury. Grabbed a couple of nice marks but generally quiet. -
5 VFL Got through second game back from injury. Needs to find more of the ball. -
6 GCS Late inclusion snagged one goal but quiet for most part. Will get better. 3
7 VFL Struggled to find the footy up forward. Timing of marking was well off. -
8 VFL Couldn’t get into the game at all playing forward. Six tackles, one goal. -
9 VFL One goal from seven touches as lean trot continues up forward. -
10 VFL Bye. -
11 VFL Struggles continue. Three marks and eight kicks in a quiet day. -
12 VFL Rotated ruck forward. Four inside-50s, one goal and two contested marks. -
13 VFL Rotated ruck/forward. Six marks (four contested) and three inside-50s. Ok. -
14 VFL Six kicks and two marks in another average effort. Really struggling. -

SF Port Battled Lobbe to best of his ability and grabbed a couple of marks late. 4
PF Haw Made some errors, particularly when defending. All good experience for next season. 2

2012 Season

19 VFL Got through return game unscathed. Good signs. -
21 VFL Two goals and 36 hit-outs in the ruck and up forward. -
22 VFL Continued comeback with 36 of the Cats’ 44 hit-outs. -
23 Syd First game in 13 months a beauty. Kicked a goal and competed well. 5
EF Frem Didn’t get into game at all but fact he was back for two games a positive. 1
