2017 Season

1 NM Not as prolific as midfield teammates but has some handy touches. 5
2 StK Had 17 disposals but wasn’t prominent. Worked hard in tight though. 4
3 Rich Not a bad game with 16 touches and a goal. Showed some class in patches. 6
4 WAFL Soldiered on in midfield but had next to no support. 32 possessions. -
5 WAFL One of the Royals best in midfield. 28 possessions and seven clearances. -
6 Senior emergency.
7 Port Played as a defensive forward on Jack Hombsch and was okay. 4
8 WAFL Hard worker in midfield with 31 possessions and eight clearances. One of the Royals best. -
9 WAFL Didn’t have a massive day, but battled hard and provided good leadership. -
10 GWS Moved onto Shiel and restricted his influence in the second half. 6
11 GCS Not a lot of the footy (10 possessions) though made the most of it (90% efficiency). 4

13 Geel Tagged J Selwood and was able to restrict him to 13 effective disposals which was a huge win for the Eagles. 7
14 Melb Great job on Clayton Oliver early. Released and kicked two goals of his own. 7
15 WB Played forward but didn’t see much of it. 3
16 Port No genuine tagging role this week. Floated between players. 5
17 Frem Tagged Walters for most of the game and did well. Released the tag during the second half. 6
18 Coll Had the job on Sidebottom and forced him to operate below normal standards. Played his part. 6
19 Bris Followed Rich as much as possible. The Lion’s kicking was damaging all day. 4
20 StK Wore Jack Steven like a glove and ensured he never took charge around the ground. 8
21 Carl Tagged Sam Docherty for a half and did a strong job of keeping him out of the game. 5
22 GWS Did well tagging Shiel. No real impact going the other way. 5
23 Adel Tagged Sloane for a lot of the day. Couldn’t stop him from winning the ball but kicked two goals. 5
EF Port Started well in midfield in defensive role, but then quiet. 5
SF GWS Assigned the task of running with Scully and was able to restrict him to a degree. Not the worst. 6

2016 Season

1 WAFL Worked into the game to end up with 23 disposals, eight tackles. -
2 WAFL Solid but not outstanding with 18 possessions in midfield. -
3 Hamstring.
4 Rich Two goals from nine disposals meant he made the most of his chances. 5
5 WAFL Worked hard on the ball for 23 possessions, six tackles. -
6 Coll Kept Sidebottom in check. Kicked a goal too. 6
7 Geel Went to Selwood after half time and kept him to 11 disposals. Batted hard. 5
8 StK Couple of neat goals sent a message to club that didn’t give him a senior game. 6
9 Port Won his fair share of the footy, but a touch fumbly on occasions. 6
10 GCS Followed Ablett. Couldn’t stop him from winning the footy. 3
11 WB Spent time on Liberatore and OK in that role. Kicked one late goal but didn’t lay a tackle. 5
12 Adel Won the contested ball. Had a crack all night. 6
13 Bris Hard to evaluate his true worth when eight of his 13 disposals were deemed ineffective. 4
15 Ess Spent time playing a negative role. Laid eight tackles. 5
16 NM Good as a defensive forward. Sticks to his task. 5
17 Carl Hardly sighted through the midfield. Only two tackles and two inside-50s. 4
18 WAFL Battled hard in the midfield with 24 disposals, 10 marks and six tackles. -
19 Coll Worked hard defensively to lay eight tackles and won his fair share of ball. OK. 6
20 Frem Ran with Hill because the Docker got away too much. 4
21 GWS Continues to play a role. 18 possessions and a goal. 6
22 Haw Closed down Mitchell. Kept him quiet. 7

EF WB Tagged Bontempelli and did a superb job in that role. Mattered little in wash-up. 6

2015 Season

4 WAFL Strong first league game of season with 19 touches, nine tackles and a goal. -
5 WAFL Continues to build with another 20 possessions and a goal. -
6 WAFL Building form nicely with 26 touches in midfield. -
7 GCS The sub. Had 11 disposals in just over one quarter. 3

10 WAFL Solid performance on the ball with 17 possessions. -
11 WAFL Good performance in midfield with 24 touches and a goal. -
12 WAFL Best on ground performance with 31 possessions, six tackles, two goals. -
13 WAFL Bye. -
14 Senior emergency.
15 Adel The sub. Did his bit after coming on. 2
16 Coll Sub came on late third term and had some handballs. 2
17 Syd Tough effort across half forward. Won 13 contested possessions. 6
18 GCS Drifted in and out of the match and missed a crucial late goal. 3
19 Haw Made the most of his chance with lots of grunt work. 6
20 Frem Kicked an early goal and set up several more. 5
21 WB Toiled all day. Five clearances and two goals. 6
22 Adel Bobbed up with the Eagles’ first major well into the second term. 5

GF Haw Tried hard but overawed and made mistakes. Kept working but struggled. 5

2014 Season

1 Back.

3 WAFL Terrific in first game of year with 21 touches and a goal. -
4 WAFL 22 possessions and a goal against team he won premiership with last year. -
5 Port Solid worker in the Eagles midfield. 6
6 Carl Will rue a 50m penalty in the final term and the missing a shot for goal. 5
7 Frem Couldn’t make the most of his chances with two behinds, but won a lot of ball. 6
8 GWS Kicked two goals and did some nice things around the stoppages. 6
10 Coll Sub. On for final term but not the influence coach would have liked. 1
11 WAFL Found plenty of ball as always in midfield. -
12 Haw Won plenty of the ball but didn’t really hurt the Hawks. 6
13 GCS Used ball extremely going onto the forward 50. 6
14 StK Great start and was a solid ball winner all day. 7
15 Frem Got enough of the ball, but like so many others gave it away too often. 4
16 Syd Worked hard in the midfield against a quality unit. Not the worst. 6
17 Bris Kept a watchful eye on Hanley while also being a useful link going forward. 7
18 Rich Shadowed Cotchin in a big task. Stuck to it well while laying 13 tackles. 5
19 Adel Laid a game-high 11 tackles and ran with Dangerfield after half time. 6
20 Coll Went head-to-head with Pendlebury and did it in fine style. Matched him all day. 7
21 Ess Excellent job on Heppell in first half then appeared to be moved. 6
22 Melb Subbed out early with a hamstring strain. 1

7 Bris Solid debut. Tackled strongly and ran hard to create. Showed why he got drafted. 6
