1 NM Bypassed a fair bit with Kennedy in hot form. Kicked two goals to play his part, but can improve. 4
2 StK One of his better games with two goals and two contested marks. Needs to stay involved for longer though. 5
3 Rich Thought he got a serious injury 10 seconds into the game but game back and showed some influence. 5
4 Ankle.
5 Haw Early goal gave him some confidence and proved a problem Stratton. His best outing at the MCG in a while. 7
6 Frem Kicked two goals in the first term. Faded but the damage was done. 5
7 Port Continues to frustrate, bobbing up for two goals, good, turning it over in the last term, poor. 5
8 WB Booted two goals which means he did his job. 5
9 Ess Radar was off with two goals and five behinds. At least looked dangerous at times, but inaccuracy hurt. 5
10 GWS Kicked two goals, set up another and provided pressure inside 50. 6
11 GCS Failed to stand up in Kennedy's absence, and the pressure will continue to mount on him. 2

13 Geel Two goals including the sealer in the final term. Caused issue for Henderson for periods of the night. 6
14 Melb The third tall and didn’t have the impact of Petrie or McGovern. 5
15 WB Three goals and several direct goal assists as he deputised well for the still-absent Josh Kennedy. 7
16 Port Impressive performance. Kicked four goals and gave the team a strong target. 7
17 Frem Kicked two goals and took four contested marks to give the team a presence. 6
18 Coll Worked hard up the ground to clear the 50 for Kennedy. Another good performance. 6
19 Bris Started superbly and gave the team a target. Finished with two goals. 6
20 StK Had trouble getting a free run at the ball due to the close attentions of Carlisle. 4
21 Carl Booted two goals and made the most of limited chances in the windy conditions. 5
22 GWS Blanketed by Tomlinson. Didn’t make any impact. 2
23 Adel His courageous mark and goal late in the match sent the team into finals. It was his fifth contested mark. 7
EF Port Hot early with three first half goals and made the most of mismatches on undersized flankers. Well held in final hour and a bit. 6
SF GWS Unable to get any separation from Tomlinson and was never a factor. 3

2016 Season

1 Bris Influential early where he set up several goals. Booted two of his own too. 6
2 Haw Best forward for the Eagles with three goals. Tried hard from start to finish. 6
3 Frem Fantastic before the rain came. The sealing goal was his third, 7
4 Rich Started superbly and finished with four goals. One of the best. 7
5 Syd Not his sort of day at all in the wet and struggled. 4
6 Coll Started well. Competed. Hurt his back during the game. 5
7 Geel Worked super hard despite efforts of Cat defenders. Three goals a reasonable return. 5
8 StK Some nice marks and a couple of goals 5
9 Port Well held by the Power defence. 3
10 GCS Started brilliantly and finished with three goals. Good when it mattered. 6
11 WB Looked right out of sorts with Morris wearing him like as glove. Two goals, both in first half. 5
12 Adel Started well with two goals by quarter time. Then he disappeared. 4
13 Bris Just too big for the Lions’ defenders to contain. Bagged four goals. 4
15 Ess Took three contested marks and booted two goals. 6
16 NM Disappeared after quarter time. Was brilliant in the first term. 4
17 Carl Radar off all day. Kicked 0.5 when could have jagged three or four. 3
18 Melb Competed and made the most of his time with the footy. 6
19 Coll Looked most likely for the Eagles in attack to end with four goals opposed to Marsh. 7
20 Frem Just one possession in the first half. Did hid damage when the game was over. 3
21 GWS Went scoreless in attack but did work hard up to create space behind. 4
22 Haw Booted three goals and his overhead marking was superb. 7
23 Adel Had the yips early but finished strongly with two goals. 5
EF WB Biggs went with him at times. Two goals but one effort in final term didn’t look great. 5

17 Syd Three early goals helped set the side on path to victory. Quiet second half. 6
18 GCS Guilty of missing some crucial shots at goal. Presented well. 5
19 Haw Two goals but only six possessions in the torrential rain. 4

1 WB Opened with a goal after 30 seconds and ended night with four – five tackles. 8
2 Melb Started strongly opposed to McDonald. Ended with 3.1. 6
3 StK Mobility and height gave Saints plenty of headaches up forward. 6
4 Geel Service not ideal or plentiful and Lonergan had his measure all night. 3
5 Port Kicked 2.3 and had the better of his contest with O’Shea. Probably Eagles best. 7
6 Carl Didn’t kick a goal but had three score involvements. Not helped by delivery. 5
7 Frem Held some strong contested marks on the lead, did all he could. 7
8 GWS Presented well alongside Kennedy to provide a good foil. Three goals. 7
10 Coll Only one goal with Toovey wearing him like a glove all game. 5
11 NM Started well and tackled hard but had a long spell when he went missing. 4
12 Haw Battled. Moved into the midfield but had no impact. 3
13 GCS McKenzie matched up on him at first. Wasn’t a big factor. 5
14 StK On Dempster and was effective with three goals. 6
15 Frem Made some bad skill errors and was held to just one goal despite mismatch. 3
16 Syd Rampe stuck close and forced him high up the ground to seek the ball. 5
17 Bris Posed a threat but could still only bag one goal. 6

1 Frem Goalless opposed to McPharlin, then Dawson. Worked hard but no real impact. 4

3 Melb A powerful presence with 5.3 and 13 contested- possessions. 8
4 Carl Work-rate great and never stopped trying to provide something. 6
5 Port Only one goal and got involved but well held by O’Shea. 5
6 WB Had five goals by half time and played key role in setting up the win, Corked late in day. 7
7 Bris Kicked a goal right on the final siren. Not prominent but it was a wet day. 5
8 NM Wayward in front of goal and didn’t have a big impact with just a handful of touches. 4
9 GWS Took five marks inside 50, kicked five goals and laid an impressive seven tackles. 7
10 Rich Batchelor picked him up. Couple of early fumbles. Couldn’t break away. 4
11 StK Kicked three goals and Dempster had great duel with him in second half. 6
13 Haw Work-rate good but couldn’t get away from Stratton enough to be a factor. One goal. 4
14 Ess Started like a rocket but reined in later by Hurley. 5

17 Syd Threatened to catch fire but was well held by Richards. 5

20 Ess Led Hooker to the ball and presented a big target up from half forward. Two goals important. 6
21 Geel Only goal came midway through final term and well beaten by Rivers/Lonergan. 3
22 Coll Shaw had him covered in great duel then subbed out at half time after one goal. 2

1 WB Didn’t really stamp himself on the game and managed just one goal. 4
2 Melb Had a huge impact with four goals. Also set up others for goals. 7
3 GWS Well held by Hombsch and only managed the one goal. 3
4 Haw Lifted with two goals in the final term with the game on the line. 6
5 Rich His three goals proved vital in a tight game. 7
6 NM Quiet in Kennedy’s absence. But had three shots for goal. 4
7 Ess Nice mark and goal but not much else on a quiet night. 3
