1 Rich The one touch of real class in the Carlton attack and always menacing. 6
2 WCE Didn’t touch ball in first term and that set tone for horror night. No influence. 2

6 VFL Chimed in with a pair of goals. Ready for senior return. -
7 GWS Two goals and at least made the most of his chances. 5
8 Geel Four goals from limited chances (couple of gimmes). Two tackles. 7
9 Syd Couldn’t win his own ball. Two contested possessions then subbed out. Injured? 1
10 Adel One goal but couldn’t get away from Brown who wore him tight. 3
12 Port After three quiet quarters came to life in final term. 3
13 GCS Early mark and goal but injured knee and subbed out in third term. 3

15 Rich Got a few touches early then hardly sighted for remaining three terms. 2

1 Port Sub came on for Bell eight minutes into final term. Too late to influence. 1
2 Rich Little input to the match, but snagged two goals. 4
3 Ess Kicked two goals and showed glimpses of his undoubted class. 6
4 Melb Had equal or more tackles than 10 teammates and played just 18 minutes. 1

7 Coll Sub came on just before three-quarter time and bobbed up. 1
8 StK Two goals in second term after one in first. Could easily have kicked five. 7
10 Adel Two first-quarter goals and another in final term. Not much in between. 6
11 Bris At times looked like taking the game by the scruff, but didn’t. 3
12 Geel Quiet first half but then came to life to be instrumental in lifting team. 5
13 Haw Two goals and an easy miss. Influence not huge but kept working. 5
14 GWS Finished with three goals and proved Carlton's most effective forward. 6
15 Coll Ball never got to him for large parts but well beaten by Toovey. One goal late. 3

1 PM OK in patches but looked to be still getting his bearings. -
2 VFL Worked hard and his second efforts were pleasing. -
3 VFL Super impressive with 4.3. Everything he did was class. -

5 VFL Kicked 2.2 and was lively when the ball came forward. OK. -
