StK Off the bench to full-forward line in return game but touched the footy only six times and missed his one set shot. 2
Ess Shaken off injury cobwebs; kicked Pies’ first two goals and looked the most likely forward. Boy, they’ve missed him! 6
Geel Great battle against Mackie. Ended with one goal from five kicks in a quiet sort of day. 4
Carl One handball in first quarter but increasingly involved as game progressed. His three goals gave Pies a sniff. 6
GWS Overhead prowess troubled Giants. Energetic presence a constant problem for Shaw. 6

Frem Booted three goals in the third term and then injured his ankle. 7

GCS Suns put plenty of defensive pressure on him, with Sexton keeping him to just one goal. 3
WCE Held closely all game but stepped up to be big in final term. 5
Adel Seven inside-50’s and goal, always looks dangerous inside the forward 50. 4
NM Worked higher up the ground to find the footy. Not a massive scoreboard influence, but was okay. 5
Port Kicked Collingwood’s first goal of the match and drifted in and out of the game too often to make an impact. 4
Geel Ended with 19 possessions (10 effective) but didn’t hit the scoreboard with Bews on his hammer. 6
Melb White-hot in first half and couldn’t do anything wrong. Had that many score involvements the statisticians lost count. 8
