3 Senior emergency.
4 VFL Skippered VFL side and looked a class above at times playing through midfield and forward. -
5 VFL Did well in the back half with 24 possessions and five tackes. A senior call-up wouldn’t surprise. -
6 Coll First game for the season. Had Fasolo and from that perspective did well given one of Pies’ goals came when he was off ground. 6
7 GCS Certainly held his own across half back. Tried to attack when he could and used the ball well. 6
8 Ess Started well then effort faded but his leg speed is a must to retain in the side. Ended with nine effective disposals. 5
9 WB Spent first half in defence and played minor role then swung forward in third without impact. Couple of highlights. 4
10 Port Had job on Robbie Gray who kicked all three goals while he was off the ground. Good effort in many one-on-ones. 5

13 WCE Battled LeCras (no goals, six kicks) but didn’t offer much defensively; 5 possessions for the night. 3
14 Frem Defended grimly, particular in final term when he won a number of one-on-ones. 6
15 GWS Great again opposed mainly to Smith. Really building as the season drags on; 12 disposals and three tackles. 6
16 Bris Nothing flash but subdued Bewick while also being a link man out of defence. 6
17 Haw Took a variety of opponents and did well to nullify them. Won a few key one-on-ones. 5
18 Adel One of the Cats’ best. Defended well with intercept marks and was able to nullify Betts when opposed to him. Good effort. 7
19 Carl Steady again from the back half. Getting better each and every week as a rebounding defender; 13 disposals. 6
20 Syd Spent time on Heeney and had him covered. Battled hard but limited possessions given side under siege. 4
21 Rich Solid as a rock on a number of the tigers dangerous small forwards. Calm under pressure. Having a terrific season. 7
22 Coll Matched Elliott for most of the day and claimed his scalp in another fine effort from emerging player. Kicked a goal. 7
23 GWS Great battle with Greene who kicked two goals in first half then was kept to one after half time. 6
QF Rich Looked a little nervous throughout. Will get better from the experience but will need to lift. 2
SF Syd Bounced back from last week’s shocker like a rubber man on a trampoline. Gave great drive and defended well. 6
PF Adel Had the task on Betts and stuck to it ok but did make some mistakes. Got two-year deal, which was good. 4

2016 Season

1 Played in VFL trial against North Ballarat.
2 Played in VFL trial against Collingwood.
3 Played in trial against AFL Academy.
4 VFL Explosiveness from the back half looked AFL standard at times. Super first term. -
5 VFL Did what he had in defence and will at least be in the selection mix. -
6 GCS Did well and importantly got involved in the offensive transition when he could. No mistakes. 5
7 VFL Run and rebound was superb. Six rebound 50s to go with plenty of touches. -
8 Adel Absorbing battle with Betts. Made a few mistakes but whacked away. 5
9 Coll Went to Fasolo after he’d kicked two goals and kept him goalless. Made a few mistakes. 5
10 VFL Bye. -
11 VFL Couple of rebound 50s and 18 disposals in an even performance. -
12 VFL Even without starring across half-back. Not sure did enough to get back in. -
13 VFL Four inside-50s and three rebound across half back. OK without starring. -
14 VFL Quiet offensively but defended OK when required. Needs a lift to get back. -
15 VFL Bye. -
16 VFL Stats limited but was able to drift forward and kick two goals. -
17 VFL Kicking was off but contributed in a minor way to the win. -
18 Adel Had job on Betts and kept him to a goal and six effective disposals. 7
19 WB Did his job defensively without getting a lot of ball himself. 5
20 Ess Shut out McDonald-Tipingwuti completely in first three quarters. Solid. 7
21 VFL Two kicks then failed a concussion test at quarter time and taken out. -
22 VFL Defensively did what he needed to but only four kicks. Does he get back in? -
23 Melb Got late call up and spent afternoon and did a superb job on Garlett. 6

PF Syd Battled Papley (three goals). Did a few good things in second half. 4

2015 Season

1 Haw Thrown task on Breust/Rioli and way ball was going down it was a tough day. 3
2 Frem Solid job Ballantyne who kicked one goal and had seven effective disposals. 6
3 GCS Managed to keep the smalls relatively quiet and got a few handy touches. 4
4 NM Close to Cats’ best. Shut out Thomas well and attacked the footy. 8
5 Rich Didn’t have a specific match-up and as a result pretty quiet. 3
6 Coll Did a superb job keeping Elliott goalless. A key piece in the win. 7
7 Syd Parker got away at times but better on Jetta. Tried his hardest. 5
8 Carl Had task on Menzel (four goals) but two were not his fault. Showed speed. 5
9 WCE Had the match-up on Cripps and did OK given weight if ball against. 6
10 Ess Swung through a variety of opponents including Chapman and did the job. 6
11 Port Rotated through a few players and did a solid job defensively. 5
12 Melb Found Garlett slippery and conceded four goals. A learning experience. 3
15 NM Couldn’t get into the game offensively and tough night defensively. 3
16 WB Just finding the going a little tough in mid-season. Lacked ideal match-up. 3
17 VFL Not a big outing down back but tried hard. -
18 Rested.
19 VFL Kicked one of Geelong's four goals and had 16 touches. -
20 Senior emergency.
21 StK To Minchington early and OK in shutting him down. Not much offensively. 3

1 PM Among the Cats best at half back in trial game. -
2 PM One of the Cats better players in VFL trial. -
3 VFL Injured in the second quarter and didn’t reappear. -
4 VFL Up and down afternoon. -
5 VFL Did well in a shut down role and attack the ball with vigor. -
6 VFL Kicked a goal and played a solid role. -
7 VFL Good early but was taken off at half time as emergency. -
8 VFL Bye. -
9 Frem Great debut. Showed poise, speed and awareness playing on Ballantyne. 6
10 NM Had task on Thomas (three goals) but showed poise with footy. 4
11 Syd Ran with variety of players but struggled to impact either way. 2
12 Carl Rotated on Garlett and Menzel. One passage of play superb. Subbed out. 2

15 Ess Fine job restricting Chapman to eight effective disposals and no goals. 6
16 WB Defensively he was superb on a variety of small sized forwards. 6
17 VFL Had the job on Edwards and stuck to it manfully. -
