1 Adel Could have been taken to the cleaners if Charlie Cameron kicked straight. 4
2 GCS Provided customary drive off half back but needs to be more defensively aware at stages. 5
3 NM Came into the game in the second quarter pressing high up the ground. 6
4 Port Gave good drive out of the back half with his enthusiasm and willingness to take the game on. 7
5 Syd Incisive runner from defence and played a confident and accomplished game. 7
6 WB Rebounding defender was a key with his ability to find the pill and move it forward. Hit target with 20 of 25 disposals. 7
7 StK Dashed out of defence to be a factor with 22 disposals. Didn’t star but was a handy contributor. 6
8 Coll Found himself increasingly free and provided dash out of the backline. 6
9 Rich Made some errors down back early on, but positivity and nerve at times were handy. 5
10 WCE Important contributor with 28 disposals, five clearances and one goal. 7
11 Ess Move into midfield continues to bear fruit. Three goals too were vital. 8
12 Carl Ended with 18 disposals and at times threatened to break game open but it never eventuated. 5
13 Bye.
14 Bris Collected half of his 16 disposals in the third term. Bagged a goal in last when game was beyond the Lions’ reach. 5

17 Syd Great drive early with nine first quarter touches, but none in the second. Finished with 25 disposals (13 contested), but was up and down. 6
18 Rich Got plenty of the ball from half-back (28 disposals) and worked hard to keep the Tigers at bay. 7
19 Frem Some of his defensive efforts where he was in a bad position was excellent. Great day. 7
20 Melb Lots of run from defence that helped springboard Giants into attack. 7
21 WB Had hands full down back early and when heat when out of game he started to open up. 6
22 WCE Just fair. Provided his usual run from defence but not his most highlight-worthy game. 5
23 Geel Tried hard to be one of the better Giants on the night. Five tackles and six score involvements. 5
QF Adel Followed Cameron around. Bad error in third term halted Giants momentum. Efficiency well down. 5
SF WCE Did his bit at half back, but also played a bit at half forward. Versatility and tackling important. 6
PF Rich Even effort from the running half back; 21 touches and five inside-50s. 6

2016 Season

1 Senior emergency.
2 NEAFL Put hand up for a call up in defence with 28 touches. -
3 Syd Late inclusion for Buntine and used the ball well out of the backline. 5
4 Port Underrated defender who was very neat by foot. 5
5 StK Found a way through some tight gaps and kicked a beauty from the boundary line. 7
6 Haw Used in defence, but also at a few centre bounces. Another to provide dash. 7
7 Frem Tried to attack with the ball. Not a big impact though. 4
8 GCS Prolific from start to finish playing a variety of positions around the ground. 7
9 WB Backed up previous week’s strong showing and produced a strong four-quarter effort in defence. 7
10 Adel His change of direction and speed out of defence is wonderful. A find. 7
11 Geel Brilliant first term but injured a thigh and that slowed him a little. Still contributed well at half back. 7
12 Syd Found space in the midfield – took 10 marks and had four inside-50s. 6
13 Ess Snagged two goals in second term and among best with dash off half back. 7
14 Carl Incredibly clean by foot. Ran hard both ways and had an equal team-high seven inside-50s. 7
16 Coll In the wars from the start when he rolled his ankle and copped other hits too. 4
17 Bris Consistent four quarters without reaching any great heights. 6
18 Port Smooth mover played well within the 50 metre arcs. 6
19 Rich Ran hard to find space and looked dangerous when he got it. 7
20 GCS Usual dashing display from defence to provide plenty of drive. 6
21 WCE Kept a watchful eye on Cripps as well as providing drive from defence. OK without starring. 6
22 Frem The best running defender on the ground. A four-quarter contributor. 7
23 NM Quiet first half but better in second when he got hands on ball a bit more off half back. 5
QF Syd Made some nice runs out of defence and showed coolness in use of the ball. 6
PF WB Tried hard but under pressure at times from the back-half. Ok but can be better. 4

2015 Season

2 NEAFL Provided good run and enthusiasm in win. -
3 NEAFL Provided good run from defence. Among the best. -
4 NEAFL Plenty of footy, but wasteful in front of goal with 1.5. -
5 NEAFL Got plenty of the ball in midfield and defence. -
6 Haw The sub didn’t have much of an impact in the final term. 1
7 Carl Sub. Nice final term running goal after coming on in third quarter. 2
8 Adel Sub. On for Kelly in last quarter and had little time to get into it. 1
9 NEAFL Bye. -
10 NEAFL 21 touches and provided good run through midfield. -
11 NEAFL 21 possessions as a running defender/midfielder. -
12 NM Late inclusion for Scully and played in attack but Atley ran off him. 5
14 Rich Made a few blues with his ball use but work-rate first class. 5
15 StK Hard-working defender active all day and prepared to back himself. 6
16 GCS Took some good intercept marks and looked comfortable in the back six. 6
17 Geel One positive. Got involved and particularly good when flow of game against. 7

20 Port Produced one of the goals of the game with a snap in third term. 6
21 Syd Had not trouble finding the ball but didn’t do a lot with it. 5
22 Carl Played a few different roles and was a handy contributor. 6
23 Melb Kicked the two scrappiest goals of the day and was OK in contests. 6

2014 Season

1 PM Worked hard and harassed well. -
2 NEAFL Senior emergency. -
3 Senior emergency.
4 NEAFL Went OK in return from injury. -
5 Adel Rotated between Betts and Petrenko and was solid. 6
6 GCS Not the worst. 3
7 NEAFL Some flashes of brilliance, but needs to play four quarters. -
8 NEAFL Best game in weeks with 19 disposals. -
9 NEAFL Bye. -
10 NEAFL Great game with tremendous run and carry -
11 NEAFL Another very good game from the talented youngster. -
12 NEAFL Did some good things, had 22 disposals. -
13 NEAFL 26 disposals and a goal. -
14 NEAFL Bye. -
15 NEAFL Pacey, came off injured, returned and starred. -
16 Adel Found Betts a handful. Won kicks later. 5
17 Frem Battled away across half-back. Showed some aggressiveness at times. 4

2013 Season

1 NEAFL Played on a wing and showed some good signs on debut. -
2 NEAFL Slow start but worked into the game well. -
3 NEAFL Creative around the ball and ended with three goals. -
4 NEAFL Strong performance in midfield. Won plenty of ball. -
5 GCS First gamer was lively and enthusiastic at the contest. 4
6 Ess Sub. Came on late and showed some pace and poise through the middle. 3
7 Adel Livewire when he came on as sub for Brogan in third term. 4
8 Ankle.
9 NEAFL Gave some run and dash. -
10 NEAFL Did some good things and played a part in the win. -
11 NEAFL Contributed well around the ball to helped move it forward. -
12 Port Came on as the sub and kicked his first league goal. Took a nice mark too. 2
14 NM Showed glimpse of his nippiness then subbed out late in third. 3
15 NEAFL Kicked a goal and played his role well across half back. -
16 NEAFL One of the Giants best with two goals and a host of touches. -
17 Ess The best game yet for the product of the GWS academy. 5
18 Coll Caught the eye with his attack on the ball and disposal efficiency (95%). Impressive. 7
19 Melb Tracked Byrnes and kept him close. Gave some good run from the back half. 5
20 Frem Worked hard while trying to shut down Ballantyne. Gutsy effort. 6
21 Bris Last quarter goal salvaged a tough night. 4
22 Rich Vanilla game down back. Not a major player. 4
