2017 Season

1 NM Two highlight-reel goals to go with 10 marks and 26 touches in a number of roles, including in defence. 8
2 StK Brilliant. Took five contested marks. He kept the Eagles in the game when they were battling. 8
3 Rich Didn’t really employ that rebounding strength of his. Beaten against Riewoldt. 6
4 Syd Freed up all night behind the ball and did it very well. 29 touches and 11 marks highlights his impact. 8
5 Haw Took Gunston at times and wasn’t able to free himself up to control the game in defence. Make him accountable and he struggles. 4
6 Frem One of the best on ground. Took contested marks and had 32 possessions. 9
7 Port Started the last term with a bang, intercepted the turnover and kicked a great goal to give the Eagles some breathing space. 7
8 WB Had a big second half with 21 disposals after the long break. 7
9 Ess Made to defend by Essendon and was found wanting. Second half was a touch better, but not his best. 4
10 GWS One of the better players with 31 touches and eight marks. 7
11 GCS Booted three goals and drifted between attack and defence. 7

13 Geel Shadowed Dangerfield and did that role well while also finding enough time to with the ball himself. 7

15 WB More effective as game wore on and he increased midfield involvement. 5
16 Port Won the footy but Ebert clearly won their contest. 6

18 Coll Played forward mostly. Had some hard running, effort based moments, but late poster was momentum changer. 7
19 Bris A quiet achiever with 20 disposals but that included seven clearances and one goal. 7
20 StK No questioning his work ethic but wasn't as influential as he can be. 5
21 Carl Damaging storming from defence. His impact was crucial to the team’s win. 8
22 GWS Massive day. Defended Greene well, intercepted and drove Eagles forward. However, slipped late which led to massive Greene goal 8
23 Adel A consistent performer without standing out. Held firm in defence. 6
EF Port Stationed in defence and was okay without being at his rebounding best. 5
SF GWS Unable to provide dynamic run from defence, nor his normal intercepting prowess. 5

2016 Season

1 Bris Enjoyed playing as a midfielder. Still learning the craft but did well. 6
2 Haw Nice late mark but missed. Unable to impact game when it was up for grabs. 3
3 Frem Good performance as a midfielder. Won 21 possessions. 6
4 Rich Destroyed Richmond. His 25 possessions included 2.4 and seven clearances. 8
5 Syd Lovely goal and tried hard but not significant. 5

7 Geel When he goes missing it’s a SES search job. Hard to see if he was even out there. 2
8 StK Could not be quelled by hapless Saints. Loves playing at home. 7
9 Port Quiet game by his standards, did push forward for a goal in the first term. 6

17 Carl Went to Cripps in parts and was good in that role in first half. Two third-term goals. 6
18 Melb Needs to start getting the ball if he expects to be a midfielder. 3

20 Frem Didn’t do enough. Has to start winning the ball. 4
21 GWS One of his better away games this season. 11 of his 21 touches were contested. 6
22 Haw Played forward. Was really good early. Marked strongly. 6

EF WB Hardly sighted. Right out of sorts. Missed two simple set shots. 3

2015 Season

1 WB Battle with Stringer/Boyd. Held his own but opponents got away at times. 6
2 Carl Stout defensive effort. Attacked when he could and provided some run. 6
3 Frem Battled above his weight down back and was admirable. 5
4 Bris Relished playing against former side who may have wished he’d stayed. 7
5 GWS Best on ground when it mattered. Controlled the game in the middle. 8
6 Port Purple patch in the second term with three shots on goal in three minutes. 7
7 GCS Brilliant. Kicked 4.2 from 29 disposals. In superb form. 9
8 StK Booted three goals and oozed talent. Gets better all the time. 6
9 Suspended.
10 NM Sure hands in the air stood out like a sore thumb. Star in the making. 7
11 Ess One of his quieter games. Still had four clearances. 5
12 Rich Excellent at both ends of the field. Great pair of hands. 7
14 Melb Did some good things but wasn’t an influential performer. 5
15 Adel Booted three goals, set up more and had 26 touches. In great form. 7
16 Coll Stood Pendlebury at start. Impressive later. 6

2014 Season

1 WB Used up on a wing at times and while he didn’t get a lot of ball he did OK. 4
2 Melb Calm, composed effort in defence. Settled in nicely. 6
3 StK On Templeton and broke even. 5
4 Geel Battled against the tide without doing a whole lot of damage from half back. 5
5 Port Beaten on the night by Robbie Gray who was Port’s matchwinner. 3
6 Carl Kicked a goal but his five tackles were what the team really needed. 6
7 Frem Showed he’s a smart footballer with some neat touches in traffic. 6
8 GWS Solid rebounded out of the back half. 6
10 Coll Had teeth knocked out just before half time. Good first half but faded. 6
11 NM Among the better Eagles at half forward in an overall ordinary bunch. 5
12 Haw Keeps winning the contested ball despite breaking teeth against Collingwood. 6
13 GCS Hardly seen and was subbed off in third quarter. 2

2013 Season

1 WB Not prominent, but did a few things. 5
2 Adel Looked good in defence again and is composed under pressure. 5
3 GCS One shocking turnover late in game stood out, but is developing nicely. 4
4 NEAFL Quiet early, but good run off half-back as the game wore on. -
5 Melb Linked well out of defence and went on a few good runs. OK. 6
6 Syd Gave some run, but Hannebery showed him a clear pair of heels early. 5
7 WCE Didn’t have an impact with his possessions. 5
8 Ess Really good. Deceptively quick and used it when he could. 6
9 Carl Better than an 11-disposal game would otherwise indicate. 5
10 Coll Elliott got away from him early. No impact. 2
12 Frem Made sure his initial opponent Silvagni had no say. 5
13 Geel Fine job on Motlop, who apart from two goals was very quiet. 8
14 Haw Not great day in defence where he conceded goals. Did manage to kick a nice one. 2

5 NEAFL Best game this year. Smooth in heavy traffic and going. -
6 NEAFL Good outing. Broke the lines, and used ball well. -
7 NEAFL Burst in and out on occasions. Improving. -
8 NEAFL Flashed in and out. Gave some zip through the middle. -
9 NM Debutant had 11 touches to half time. Showed some promise. 6
10 NEAFL In and out of the game at times. -
