1 Coll The man who never missed a game in '16 opened with another solid performance in the back pocket. 5

7 VFL Stengle booted three goals, but the Bulldog was a driving force from defence with 28 touches. -
8 VFL Had 27 touches and six rebounds, but made a few errors that Port Melbourne punished. -
9 VFL One of the Dogs best down back. 26 possessions and tried to keep them in the game. -

18 GCS Hasn’t hit any great heights this year, but this was a step in the right direction. Good ball winner and defended well. 7
19 Ess Ball winning defender was magnificent with 29 disposals, 11 marks and 555 metres gained. Great effort. 8
20 Bris Kept going when some of his teammates went missing during the second and third terms. 7
21 GWS Held up okay down back given ball was coming down sideways after the main break. 5
22 Port Mopped up loose balls well in back 50, but was caught out a few times late. 5
23 Haw When he’s good he’s handy. When he’s bad he off steak in the sun all afternoon style; 16 disposals. 4

2016 Season

1 Frem Racked up the touches running off half back. Not all hit the target but linked very well. 8
2 StK Defended well on Saints’ smalls and provided rebound from back half again. 7
3 Haw Provided two goals to go with his 18 disposals from half back. 6
4 Carl Great game. Got off the chain at half back to help cover for absence of Murphy. Provided great drive. 7
5 Bris Not as prolific as he has been at times this season off half back but was handy enough. 6
6 NM Sturdy battler down back but disposal not powerful. 6
7 Adel Lynch gave him the run around early then responded. Quieter offensively than previous weeks. 4
8 Melb Gets under guard. Defends well and finds space when he can. Developing player. 5
9 GWS Toiled hard in the backline and was clean with his ball use. 5

11 WCE Just keeps finding the footy from half back. Uses it well when he gets it and reads it perfectly. 7

13 Geel Missed a few chances when pressing forward and unable to provide rebound off half back. 4
15 Syd Ran hard out of defence to make space and did well in first half. 5

19 Geel Defended well and ran off when he could to create play. Solid game. 7

6 NEAFL Down on last week’s performance. -

8 NEAFL Very good display with 30 touches. -
9 NEAFL Brilliant last week, but was a little down against the Demons. -

11 NEAFL Didn’t have much influence on the rebound from defence. -

7 NEAFL Among the Swans best in win over Giants. Good outing. -
8 NEAFL Did some nice things but not overly influential. -
9 NEAFL Played his role well in the absence of a few teammates. -
10 NEAFL Named best in down back Swans reserves win. Improving type. -
11 NEAFL Developing well in his role down back. Good again. -

13 NEAFL Stuck to his task well and competed hard for four quarters. -
14 NEAFL Solid defensively in the back half for the Swans. -

10 NEAFL Rebounded well at times and drove the ball forward. -
11 NEAFL Kicked a goal and used the ball well at times. -
13 NEAFL Used the ball well and was cool under pressure. -
14 NEAFL Drove the Swans forward at every opportunity. -
