2017 Season

1 Carl First ruck did well. Team won clearances and he contributed two goals. Good debut for former Swan. 6
2 Coll Gave Grundy something to think about, especially with his marking around ground. Tigers have a good one here. 6
3 WCE Won the ruck battle today. 18 touches, 21 hitouts with 10 to advantage. Early contender for recruit of the year. 7
4 Bris Soundly beaten in the ruck by Martin but given it's only his 16th game there's plenty of improvement to come. 5
5 Melb Took full advantage of Spencer’s injury in the ruck. Big body didn’t get any smaller late, and his ruckwork helped turn the game. 8
6 Adel Competed well in ruck but was outplayed around the ground by Sam Jacobs. 5
7 Suspended.
8 Frem Just going until last term when gave side a serious lift around the ball. Still finding feet and heading in right direction. 7
9 GWS Good battle between two aggressive bulls in ruck with Mumford. Shaded in ruck duels, but was okay. 5
10 Ess Battled manfully in the ruck and after slow start worked into it. Unlikely hero with the sealing goal. 5
11 NM More than matched Goldstein and ended up shading him in that duel. Consolidating his claims as gun recruit of the year. 7
12 Bye.
13 Syd Doubled teamed in ruck by Swans big man and they eventually wore him down. Two missed set shots hurt Tigers. 4
14 Carl Had pants pulled down by Kreuzer. Late goal a rare positive – but he conned the umpire into it. 4
15 Port Battled manfully against Ryder in ruck, was good when the footy hit the ground, needs to tidy up his kicking. 6
16 StK Completely outflanked by Longer in ruck duels. Did a few things around ground, but not his best night. 3
17 Bris Played second fiddle in ruck to Soldo. Made some mistakes, but got involved around the ground as follower. 5
18 GWS Rucked against Mumford and held his own. Kicked a great snap goal in third term that helped keep foot on throat of Giants. 6
19 GCS Spent more time forward in Riewoldt's absence, and booted three second quarter goals. 6
20 Haw Beat McEvoy. Runs like he’s got a stone in his shoe but whatever blows your hair back. 7
21 Geel Battled ok in the ruck, on a day, where the big men didn’t have a huge impact on the game. 5
22 Frem Good battle with Darcy in the ruck. Had 26 disposals in a strong game. 7
23 StK Shaded by Longer on the day but kept battling. Ended with 18 possessions and 31 hit-outs. 6
QF Geel Tireless ruck work against Smith and gave side first use when it mattered most late in the game. 7
PF GWS Shaded in the hitout department but tackled his heart out and threw his weight around. 6
GF Adel Shaky start then warmed into the game and worked hard in all phases. Got back to help the defence and matched Jacobs. 8
