2017 Season

1 Haw Big job on Breust and did it well for long periods, although he was sloppy at times with free kicks. 6
2 Bris Showed plenty of courage and blanketed Taylor for all but about 15 minutes. 6
3 Carl Plugged away in the back half. Put body on line and went when he had to go. Steady without starring. 5
4 Senior emergency.
5 VFL Provided dash from defence with 24 possessions and six rebounds. Put his hand up for a recall. -
6 Melb Had both shoulders heavily padded and turned the ball over a bit by foot. Had 18 touches, four clearances. 4
7 Frem Quiet with only nine disposals. Kicked one goal. 4
8 VFL Excellent early on – rebounded well and also drove the ball into attack. Copped a knock to the leg. -
9 VFL Rebounded well from the back half and gave some dash. -
10 VFL Had 18 touches, but never really threatened to take over the game. -
11 GWS Gave away inches in defence, but did a good job overall. 6
12 Port Used down back and was aided by midfield’s control. Okay without being great. 5
13 Bye.
14 Syd Took Hayward and did well to keep him out of the game for long periods. Took some good marks and won key contests. 7
15 Bris Used the ball well whenever he got hold of it. 6
16 Coll Defended stoutly, put his body on the line and went when it was his time to go. Handy without starring. 6
17 StK Ran through the lines and created plenty of moves early. Saints couldn't counter his run. 7
18 NM Took some intercept marks but got caught wandering off the mark in the third quarter. Hyper extended his elbow which looked nasty. 6
19 WB Matched up on Dahlhaus when forward and Murphy. Did some good things overall. 5
20 Carl Rangy defender makes some decisions that would have a 97-year-old scratching his head. Any danger he could defend? 3
21 Adel Hard worker in the first half running out of defence and maintained the output. 7
22 GCS 100% efficiency from his 16 disposals. Establishing himself in senior lineup. 6
23 Frem Excellent early when the Bombers made the strong running. One of the best. 7
EF Syd Defender was as busy as a Hollywood housewife organising a pool party. Actually one of the side’s better performers. 7

2016 Season

1 GCS Mopped up well across half back. 5
2 Melb Great game. Got in the way down back and willing to leave his man to influence contests. 8
3 Port Five rebounds from defensive 50 a great output from the tall defender. 5
4 Geel Underrated player who is rarely beaten. Four rebound 50s, two inside-50s and two score assists. 7
5 Coll Struggled in the back half on a range of Collingwood’s small forwards. 2
6 Carl Defended well and offered something. Really progressive type in mould of Andrew Mackie. 6
7 VFL Returned from senior side and played a handy role across half back. -
8 VFL Won plenty of the ball and worked hard to be an option between the arcs. Solid game. -
9 StK Didn’t have a big day despite 19 possessions and decent efficiency. 4
10 Rich Sluggish start then at least started to get his hand to the ball. Spent time on Deledio. 5
11 Frem Plenty of the ball but didn’t hurt Freo with it. 5
12 Haw Continues to be an effective defender willing to take a run. 6
13 GWS Work-rate strong and gave his all but late in game made two crucial errors. 6
15 WCE Tried hard against the odds in defence. 5
16 StK Not a significant factor as winger and half back. 3
17 Rich Stood Rioli and was good for the most part but the Tiger worked into the game late. 6
18 Bris Had a few questionable moments in defence when he should have gone harder. Not his best. 3
19 Adel Played as the plus one in defence with no impact on the game. 4
20 Geel Pretty good on Motlop and won some ball himself. Hard to believe he was in the VFL. 6
21 GCS Spent time on Davis and was handy enough running from defence. 5
22 WB Low key game at half back and not a significant factor in the game. 3
23 Carl Part of a rock solid defence. Played his role with a minimum of fuss. 5

2015 Season

1 Syd Reasonable game but spent a fair amount of time on bench. 5
2 Haw Backed himself a few times to run and carry. Did his bit. 5

4 Coll Not as good as the previous week. Under pressure a lot when he got it. 4
5 StK Good duel with livewire Lonie. 6
6 Frem The sub. Had 10 touches so came on and gave the team something. 3

8 Bris Tracked Taylor for a while and provided good run. 5
9 Rich Found a bit of it in the last term after staring as the sub. 3
10 Geel Had Gregson for a lot of night and reasonable in that role. Nothing offensively. 4
