2017 Season

1 -
2 WB On debut showed glimpses of his class. Impact not huge but likely to stay in team to meet the Magpies. 4
3 Coll Fine effort given his inexperience. Snapped up 23 disposals, four tackles and kicked a gaol to be among better performers. 7
4 WCE Had some flashes off half back but didn’t use the ball as well as he can. 5
5 NEAFL Strong response to AFL axing with 31 touches and seven marks in big NEAFL win. A quick return on the cards. -
6 Carl Flashed in and out of the game for 19 disposals in a solid performance in a beaten side. Only one inside-50 is telling. 5
7 NEAFL Clearly the Swans best at half back. 30 possessions, nine rebounds and four inside-50s. -
8 NM Late inclusion who came in for Florent and had a good night in defence winning plenty of touches. 7
9 StK Desperate to keep hold of his place now he has grabbed a chance and strong disposal made him one of Swans’ best. 7
10 Haw Again okay across half back. Looks settled in that role. 6
11 Bye.
12 WB Rebounded harder than pong on steroids. Key was fact he gained 427 metres on a night when territory was critical. 6
13 Rich Great game. Defended when he had to but was also able to push to provide an offensive option with 26 possessions. 8
14 Ess Not a big night, but kicked two goals – including one vital major late. 6
15 Melb Usually a safe ball user but missed a lot of targets on the night. 5
16 GCS 21 disposals in a solid performance off the bench, missed a couple of shots though. 6
17 GWS Solid without being spectacular. 16 disposals. 5
18 StK Not a major factor down back. 4
19 Haw Top ball winner with 29 disposals. 7
20 Geel Rebounding defender kicked one great long goal. Laid seven tackles and had 19 disposals to provide nice support. 7
21 Frem Suffered a knee injury in the third term and didn’t return. Just six effective disposals. 4
22 Senior emergency.
23 Carl Very good on return. Used the ball well, on his left peg, and snapped a beautiful goal. Showed no signs of an injury. 7
EF Ess Didn’t star but like so many teammates did what the situation required; 15 disposals and two tackles. 5
SF Geel Wasn’t a huge factor with 12 effective disposals. No influence on the game. 4
