1 Coll Limited touches but all were quality from the master of the overhead handball (among other tricks) 6
2 Syd Got going after sluggish start to be a prime mover. Ended with two goals, 30 disposals and 12 contested possessions. 8
3 Frem Tagged early so pushed forward and got into the game. Had 24 touches and kicked 1.2. 6
4 NM Nine touches in third term were key in getting team back into the game. Four tackles, four inside-50s and a goal. 7
5 Bris Key to win with seven tackles, one goal and 22 disposals. When a lift was needed he provided it. 7
6 GWS Two second-term goals lifted team back into game when trailing. Did all he could with 14 contested possessions and three goals. 8
7 Rich Big third quarter after solid first half. Major part of strong Bulldog finish. Match saving mark. 7
8 WCE All class with his 24 possessions and six clearances. Was damaging through the midfield. 8
9 Geel Quiet first half (5 effective disposals) then lifted but quiet by his standards; 13 effective disposals and kicked 0.3 6
10 StK Potent in all parts of the field and after quiet first half hour hit his straps. 7

12 Syd Consistently caught in possession and butchered the pill. Laid plenty of tackles, but had to as opponents had the ball. 4
13 Melb Battled hard but Demons were able to put him under pressure whenever he got near the ball. One nice goal. 6
14 NM Key playmaker was steady then made presence felt in final term with a bevy of critical possessions. Eight clearances. 8
15 WCE Won the ball OK in midfield but disposals not damaging and efficiency well down. 6
16 Adel Showed his class in the second term to set up Jake Stringer with a shot on goal. Always has time and makes the right decision. 7
17 Carl Class showed when he had the ball in his hands; 30 disposals, six inside-50s, five clearances and two goals. 9
18 GCS Not at his brilliant best but worked hard in tight as a midfielder and spent time forward. Seven clearances. 7
19 Ess Missed some chances to kick goals in first half but in final term jagged two goals and lifted to get team over line. 7
20 Bris Bagged two goals but could have had five if not hitting the post three times from set shots inside 50m. Proved a handful for McStay. 7
21 GWS Smooth-moving playmaker close to side’s best. Some of his passing inside-50s was brilliant too watch. 8

2016 Season

1 Frem Kicked the first goal in opening 20 seconds. Kicking was wobbly though for much of the day. 6
2 StK In everything early but then was closely tracked. Kicking not always up to standard. 5
3 Haw Nice second quarter goal but struggle at times to make an impact. 5
4 Carl Snagged three goals but apart from that was relatively well held by Curnow. Six kicks. 5
5 Bris Spent time in attack as well as midfield. Loomed large a few times with size in front half. 6
6 NM Started forward against Firrito and others then went into midfield. Just went. 5
7 Adel Got side going early and a key player in a pleasing return to form. Four inside-50s, two goals. 7
8 Melb Clean hands in tight spots superb. Eight clearances, six inside-50s, 17 contested possessions. 9
9 GWS Won a lot of his own footy with 15 contested possessions and had six clearances. 8
10 Coll Greenwood ran with him and blanketed him early, but asserted himself from third. 5
11 WCE Game-high 21 contested possessions, nine tackles, six clearances and three inside-50s. 8
12 Port Big last quarter with nine disposals and a goal, for a best-on-ground performance. 9
13 Geel Unable to have same influence as past month in midfield. Lumbered around. 5
15 Syd Huge third quarter instrumental in win and also involved in final goal move. 7

20 NM Targeted all night and in thick of confrontations but came through to be Dogs’ best. 8
21 Coll Greenwood followed him everywhere first half. Lifted in third term and turned game. 8
22 Ess Solid in first half and kept running hard. One of best although not a game-breaker. 7
23 Frem Overcame a tag to win 27 possessions. 6
EF WCE Well contained by Hutchings in first half. Better after main break but lacked usual impact. 5
SF Haw Damaging with clearances and got Dogs back into it in second term. Great in third. 9
PF GWS Fairly quiet early. Lifted tempo in third quarter and became a major force. 7
GF Syd Strong game and his delivery cut through at crucial times. Third man up at stoppages important. 7

2015 Season

1 WCE Took some time to get into the game but when he did influence pronounced. 7
2 Rich Another command performance through the midfield. A force throughout. 8
3 Calf.
4 Adel Kept within reasonable bounds in first half but better later on. 5
5 Syd Efficiency well down but two goals and five inside-50s a handy return. 7
6 StK Didn’t his typical impact when required. Culpable for late Sinclair goal in square. 4
7 Frem Rested forward when not in midfield. OK but not his best. 6
8 Melb Tagged out of contest by Vince. One clearance and eight effective disposals. 3
9 GWS Busy and creative with a powerful left boot. Subbed off late with minor niggle. 6
10 Adductor.

12 Bris Quiet start to game but came into it at half forward. 5
13 StK All class showed in opening goal and always looked a menace. 6
14 Carl Broke even in inside battle with Bell in midfield. 6
15 GCS Played pivotal role in last quarter resurgence. Two goals classy. 7
16 Geel Struggled to find the ball with Guthrie playing him close. Five clearances. 4
17 Coll Early goal then a good days work in midfield racking up the stats. 7
18 Ess Six clearances and six inside-50s. Got better longer the game went. 7
19 Port Did his part and one of several who lifted in second quarter comeback. 7
20 Melb Good in midfield and finished off with class in front of goal. 7
21 WCE Turned the ball over at key moments. 5
22 NM Moved to half forward and sparked Dogs in second term. 7
23 Bris Superb hit-out going into the finals. 8
EF Adel Brilliant opening 10 minutes in each of first two terms. Super talent. 7

2014 Season

1 PM Showcased his speed for such a tall midfielder and played well. -
2 PM Nearing a league debut with another strong outing. -
3 Senior emergency.
4 VFL Slow start but really worked into the game to play a big role. -
5 Carl Highly rated debutante slotted in comfortably to pick up touches. 5
6 Soreness.
7 Ess The sub. Had two touches in the final term. 1
8 VFL Starred with four goals, 25 touches. Senior return imminent. -
9 VFL Bye. -
10 GCS Just two kicks running through midfield but showed a bit. 4
11 Frem Had nine inside 50s but wasted too many of them. 4
12 Bris Linked well at times through midfield and is showing improvement. 5
13 Coll Found the ball and kicked a goal. Took some good steps. 6
14 Port Six inside-50s and a monster goal from way outside 50. 6
15 Melb Repaid the faith shown on draft night with two superb goals to win the game. 7
16 Geel Brilliant with two goals, 10 tackles and five inside-50s. Star of future. 7
17 GCS Down on recent efforts but still found a way to contribute. 5
18 Ess Limited touches but by jingo he looks dangerous near the footy. 6
19 Haw Matched on Litherland and was fairly quiet. 3
20 StK Fisher picked him up initially. Showed glimpses of huge talent. 5
21 NM Close to team’s best at three quarter time, but no influence last quarter. 6
22 Syd Wing in rotation with Macrae. Not big numbers but classy with ball. 5
