1 GCS Spent most of the evening across half back, accumulating 24 possessions at 83% efficiency. 6
2 Ess Used as a spare parts man in defence, covering several players, and was effective in rebounding. 5
3 StK Broke the lines off half back – especially in the first half. Didn’t always pick the right option, but had a go. 6

12 Frem Strung together back-to-back goals in opening term. Added a third in second from 55m to be an unlikely spearhead. 7
13 Port Serviceable without being damaging, did provide some outside run. 4
14 GWS Got on the end of a chain of handpasses to snag a goal in third term and was a linkman out of defence. 6
15 Ess Won plenty of the ball and was one of Lions’ best across the four quarters. 7
16 Geel Battled hard but not a very effective. Seven of his 18 disposals were ineffective. 5
17 Rich Looked off the pace for long periods. Kicked a late goal, but may need spell back in the NEAFL. 4
18 NEAFL Quiet day for Cutler, who managed to grab just nine disposals. -
19 NEAFL His work in tight was elite at times. Damaging by hand clearing the ball out and his agility when pressure served him well. -

1 WCE Rough night in defence. But try playing there during a 26 goal game. 3

4 GCS Assigned to cover Miller, but kicking two goals proved his ultimate worth. 7
5 WB Dislocated shoulder when tackling McLean in opening term and was done for the day. 2

10 Haw Produced a solid first-half effort in defence but struggled to maintain intensity after main break. 4
11 Carl Provided some run and carry and used the ball genuinely well. 5
12 Frem Booted two goals which was just reward for his efforts. 6
13 WCE Made presence known which indicates that after 27 games he may be on the improve. 6

3 NEAFL Second straight impressive outing. Banging door down. -
4 WCE Several poor turnovers marred an otherwise brilliant return to the seniors. 8
5 GCS Put the ball inside 50 on six occasions from limited disposals. 4
6 Carl Sub. On final term but not much to speak of. 1
7 Port Subbed-off in fourth term after 11 touches. Just OK. 5

9 NEAFL Lions’ best running through the midfield. -
10 GWS Stuck close to Kelly in a good battle between two young up-and-comers. 5

13 Adel Subbed in, third term. Struggled to get into the match. 3
