2017 Digest:   Marked extremely well in JLT game against Carlton, and has shed some weight. Now needs to start getting bags.

2 WCE Would have loved to have kicked straight. Finished with 2.3 and troubled the Eagles. 7
3 Bris Barely sighted for much of the day and spent a lot of time on the bench after main break. Back to the VFL? 1
4 VFL Snagged a couple of goals and had a hand in a few more. Not his absolute best, but worked hard. -
5 VFL Loomed large at times in the forward 50. Ended with three goals but double-teamed at stages. -
6 VFL Had a day out against a young Collingwood defence. Booted seven goals and took 10 marks. -
7 VFL Didn’t have the day out some expected, but conditions didn't help. Reported, but should escape penalty. -
8 VFL Proved to be the difference. Kicked four goals and took 14 marks – seven contested. Ready to return. -
9 Syd Saints desperately wanted him to succeed but Grundy made things awkward and he also didn’t hold marks. 2
10 WB Just a degree off clicking. Can’t take a trick. 3
11 Bye.
12 Adel Kicking for goal let him down after a bright start to the game. 5

2016 Season

1 Played in VFL trial against Box Hill Hawks.
2 WB Couldn’t get into the game and missed set shot. 3
3 Coll Grabbed one ripping contested mark and going well until concussed in second term and did not return. 2
4 Haw Continues to take steps forward. Kicked two (missed late shot) and took a huge pack grab. 5
5 GWS Again showed some glimpses. Needs to be left in the side. 3
6 Rested.
7 VFL Kicked two goals and was a physical presence opposed to Marsh and co. -
8 VFL Took a few marks but was fairly well contained by Casey’s defenders. -
9 Ess Strong hands grabbed 10 marks and two goals. Has the attributes. 5
10 Frem Kicked two and instrumental in others. Vice-like hands again and plenty to like. 4
11 Adel Looked OK before double head clash saw him leave field on a stretcher. 3

14 Geel Started well with strong mark and goal. Getting better all the time. 3
15 GCS Looked good in opening minutes then out of game with third concussion for year. 0

19 VFL Got through game OK after another concussion. Kicked 1.2. -
20 VFL Pressed claims for senior recall with five goals and gave a few off as well. -
21 Syd Opened with nice lead and goal. Chances dried up later. 3
22 Rich Great start with two goals on Rance, but then broke his collarbone. 3

3 Coll First gamer struggled to hold marks, but lifted later in game. 3
4 Carl Couldn’t impact on game in attack against Jamison and subbed off in third. 2
5 VFL Didn’t have a great impact but delivery was poor. -
6 VFL Worked hard up the ground but remains goalless in VFL. -
7 Rested.
8 VFL Best outing thus far with 15 disposals, three goals. -
9 VFL Copped a knock early and was concussed. -
10 Concussion.
11 VFL Five possessions, but kicked 3.1 then copped heavy knock. -
12 VFL Bye. -
13 VFL Immense in attack with 4.3 and a number of goal assists. -
14 VFL Good battle with Marsh. Impacted the game in the second half. -
15 VFL Senior emergency. -
16 Rich Will gain confidence from first goal. Long way to go but talent is obvious. 4
17 Melb Greasy conditions didn’t suit marking but clunked some great grabs. 6
18 Port Led well and showed he has strong hands in first half then chances limited. 4
19 Frem Nice goal shows he knows where sticks are. Progressing a little each week. 3
