2017 Digest:   Bobbed up as a small forward with speed and competitiveness after playing most of his footy as a defender in juniors. In line for Round 1.

2017 Season

1	Carl	Kicked two goals in first quarter and might have kicked four if not for inaccuracy. Ended with 2.4.	7
2	Coll	Pressure forward bobbed up occasionally but didn’t trouble the scoreboard attendant.	3
3	WCE	Played a good game trying to nullify Shannon Hurn, and it worked. Kept him very quiet!	6
4	Bris	Talented forward proving to be the perfect off-sider to Rioli. Kicked four which almost doubled his nine-game career tally.	7
5	Melb	Found some space in attack early on and kicked a goal, but from there didn’t have a big impact.	4
6	Adel	A miserly seven disposals, the speed and goal sense of previous weeks were not on display.	2
7	WB	Usage wasn’t effective and tried to pull off the spectacular a couple of times.	4
8	Frem	Threatened on occasions but in the end impact wasn’t commensurate with effort. One goal from eight kicks.	4
9	GWS	Two first term goals helped Tigers to a fast start. Missed one to start final term, but did his bit.	6
10	Ess	Hardly sighted all night. Was it a forerunner for a spell back in VFL or does coach stick with him?	2
11	NM	Bobbed up for one goal from seven kicks. Flitted in and out of the game but gained another experience at senior level.	4
12		Bye.
13	Syd	Booted one, but also missed a few other shots that would have given the Tigers breathing space,	4
14	Carl	Two first-term goals, but then missed a few other chances to boost his tally.	5
15	Port	Had his moments down the wing and across half forward, needs to be more composed with ball in hand.	4
16	StK	Kicked two goals and missed an easy one. Not much else.	3
17	Bris	Needs to understand he is an ordinary set shot and look to pass the ball off at times. Was lively though and ended with two.	5
18	GWS	Slippery half forward sealed the win with a goal in final term. Apart from that was only a bit player.	4
19	GCS	Helped himself to a haul of three goals, though could have booted five with better conversion.	6
20	Haw	Faster than a striped lizard on outback asphalt. Only the five kicks for the day.	3
21	Geel	Putrid afternoon. Part of a supposed dangerous forward line that failed to fire a shot. 6 tackles saved a lashing.	2
22	Frem	Quiet. One of the few players to not have a big game.	3
23	StK	Quiet day up forward with four total disposals and no goals. Laid four tackles.	2
QF	Geel	Failed to have a kick in first half and ended with three and one late goal. Keep his place?	3
PF	GWS	Lively start in attacking 50 but at times his kicking was rushed. Won plenty of the ball.	6
GF	Adel	One effective disposal in first half and three for the game for one goal. Like he’s done all year he played a role.	4

2016 Season

1		Played in VFL trial against Northern Blues.
2		Played in VFL trial against Essendon.
3	VFL	Played a couple of different roles but was arguably the Tigers’ best on the day.	-
4	VFL	Got on the outside a few times and kicked 1.2 with three inside 50s.	-
5	VFL	Provided drive off half back with 23 possessions. Tried hard all afternoon.	-
6	Port	Late inclusion to make league debut. Made some errors but had a crack.	3
7	Haw	Youngster did a good job in defence	5
8	VFL	Burst in and out through the middle for his 21 touches. Laid four tackles too.	-
9	VFL	Bye.	-
10	VFL	Did hopes of a recall no harm with a strong effort. Five inside-50s, three rebounds.	-
11	VFL	Lacked normal run through midfield. Well contained.	-
12	VFL	Provided great drive in a welcome return to form with 31 possessions.	-

14	VFL	Clearly the Tigers’ best with 22 touches and most hit a teammate.	-

20	VFL	Linked well with his 22 touches and used the ball well by foot. Improver.	-
