1 Geel Off target in front of goal but did start to find more of the ball as the game wore on. Could have easily kicked three goals. 4
2 Port Non-competitive performance, no goals and very little else. 2
3 WB Kicked two goals but could have had a big night if he didn’t drop so many marks. 5
4 Melb Dangerous all day roaming all over the MCG. Kicked winning goal with a toe-poke from a metre out. Eight inside-50s. 7
5 NM Finished with one goal and took five marks. Didn’t look dangerous though. 5
6 WCE Kicked three goals and was one of the few to stand up in the first half. 7
7 Ess Kicked two goals and was part of a dangerous looking forward line with three talls. 6
8 Rich Dangerous at times. Ended with one goal from five marks and 15 possessions despite Rance draped on him. 6
9 Carl Managed only one goal from eight touches. 4
10 Adel A rare Jake Lever error in the first term led to McCarthy kicking the Dockers first goal of the game. 3

3 Syd Athleticism worried Grundy. Two goals in three minutes in third term. 6
4 GCS Tore Thompson and May apart on his way to five goals. 8
5 WCE Gave the team a target. He moved around a lot more than Cameron. 5
6 Haw Comprehensively beaten by Gibson. 3
7 Carl Two second half goals and worked hard inside attacking 50. 6
8 Adel Continues to flourish in attack with another four goals. A star in the making. 7
9 WB On Hamling and chances limited first half. Ended up in defence. 4
10 Bris Kicked two goals but wasn’t a big factor opposed to a first-gamer. 4
11 Coll Most dangerous Giants’ forward with four goals. Took front position. 7
12 NM Eight possessions and just one goal underlined his lack of impact. 4
14 Rich Kept goalless by Batchelor and couldn’t get into game at all. 1

16 GCS Subbed off after being well held. Looks to be tapering off. 2

2 NEAFL Had a couple of nice touches but is still learning. -

4 NEAFL Still raw, but kicked a goal and went OK. -

6 NEAFL Best game of the season, 21 disposals. -
7 NEAFL Youngster shifted to defence and did OK. -
8 NEAFL Had some good moment in defence. -

10 NEAFL Youngster was quiet but had little to do. -
11 NEAFL First round draft pick continued development playing in defence. -
