2017 Season

1 Melb Started well and had an even four quarters which was rare positive for Saints. 6
2 WCE Hard at the contest. The space stopped him from utilising his strengths in congestion. 5
3 Bris Didn’t have the impact he has in last few outings as an inside midfielder, but was still fair. 6
4 Coll Off the bench into the midfield rotation and did his bit, especially defensively (nine tackles, 20 possessions). 6
5 Geel Dour midfield type who bullocked his way to 21 touches but only 13 hit the target. Did lay 10 tackles. 5
6 Haw Strong around the ball – especially in tight. Laid 10 tackles to set the tone and had 13 contested possessions. Very good. 7
7 GWS Rugged ball winner couldn’t get his hands to the ball enough to do any damage to the Giants but offered support to the stars. 5
8 Carl Was a bull at the coal-face with 17 contested possessions and 6 clearances. Led the charge with a game high seven tackles. 8
9 Syd Winning a share of the ball but not as productive as earlier in year. 5
10 WB Wasn’t incisive enough in midfield in middle two quarters after a positive start. 4
11 Bye.
12 Adel Laid five tackles and had four inside-50’s but little else from the hard bodied midfielder. 4
13 Senior emergency.
14 VFL One of the few Zebras to put in a whole-hearted effort all day. 34 possessions. -
15 Frem Had 17 tackles and his chase down tackle on Brennan Cox set a standard for others to follow. It was a huge moment. 7
16 Rich Hasn't put a foot wrong since return to side and cracked in with nine tackles. 7
17 Ess Kept trying but not influential overall. 4
18 Syd Had 25 touches and five tackles so his workrate was right up there. 5
19 Port Gritty inside player who tackled hard and never conceded an inch. 5
20 WCE Hard bitten, grinding game both in tracking Shuey and also generating moves. 8
21 Melb Went to Oliver after his hot start and negated him for a while. His hard work helped get the Saints back in the game. 7
22 NM A strength in midfield and slapped on 11 tackles in hard edged display. 7
23 Rich Plugged away in the midfield. Went to Dustin Martin in second half and wasn’t disgraced; 28 touches. 7
