2 NEAFL Rebounded well from defence, but also pushed up to drive the ball inside-50 four times. -
3 NEAFL Shifted into midfield and looked at home. Found the ball well in close and used it smartly. -
4 NEAFL Did most of his work in the back half with eight rebounds from 21 touches. Solid. -
5 Ribs.
6 Senior emergency.
7 StK Inexperienced defender spent time on Membrey and was solid enough. Great experience and certainly didn’t look out of place. 4
8 Coll Lined up in back pocket but not much of a factor. Only five kicks. 2
9 NEAFL A driving force for the undermanned Giants. 25 possessions and eight inside 50s. -
10 WCE Kicked one goal and laid five tackles. Promising. 5
11 Ess Went goalless, but was lively in attack and his movement at times was impressive. 5
12 Carl HMAS Himmelberg was deployed back and forward. Couple of glimpses with his run and from behind the ball; 9 disposals. 3

14 Bris Only the eight disposals but at least it included a goal. 4

18 NEAFL Plays where needed. Starred in defence and was able to hit the scoreboard when moved forward. -
19 NEAFL Started at halfback and then was moved into the midfield. Starred in that role with 24 disposals at 83.3 percent. -
20 Melb Replaced Patton in line-up and was lively. Used as a spare into the wind and did it well. Tackled hard up front. 5
21 WB Rangy defender did his bit alongside more established stars. Limited stats but god experience. 3
22 WCE Utility was used in a variety of roles but little impact. 2

QF Adel Got GWS’s first goal and played defensive forward role on Lever, before being thrown into back half. 4
SF WCE Defensive forward on McGovern and also did some ruckwork. Physicality improved as night wore on. 4
PF Rich Ended day with four goals in what was a positive in a beaten side. Should have kicked five. 8

2016 Season

1 Played in NEAFL trial against Sydney.
2 NEAFL Won pkenty of the ball in the back half. Coming along well. -
3 NEAFL OK down back but was caught out a few times. Still learning defensive craft. -
4 NEAFL Developing his game well in defence. Four rebounds and three marks. -
5 NEAFL Got numbers in the back half and is progressing nicely. -
6 NEAFL Did well across half back. Provided rebound and closed down opponent well. -
7 NEAFL Bye. -
8 NEAFL Continued to play well in defensive half with 23 touches, four rebounds. -
9 NEAFL Strong again in defence. Don’t be surprised is he debuts at some stage this year. -
10 NEAFL Did well again down back despite being under more pressure than he has been recently. -
11 NEAFL Rebounded well at times down back but afforded too much room to opponent. -
12 NEAFL Gave Giants a lot of drive out of back half with five rebounds and 29 touches. -
13 NEAFL Finished with a team-high 11 marks and provided good rebound out of defence. -
14 NEAFL Played a smart game in backline, winning a fair share of the ball. -
15 NEAFL Bye. -
16 NEAFL OK in back half but not as prolific as he has been at times. 15 touches. -
17 Bris Quiet first half but picked up a bit late. 5
18 Port Playing just his second game and stopped the influence of Westhoff. 6
19 Rich Looked solid in back half. Found space well to take seven marks. 5
20 GCS Utilised as third tall defender on a variety of opponents. 4

22 NEAFL Hardly troubled in back half. Used it superbly when he got it. -
