2017 Season

1 WB Ruckwork has improved, and looked more use there (against Boyd at least) than up forward. 4
2 -
3 Knee.
4 VFL Did well in the ruck with 34 hitouts, but also kicked a goal – from a 50m penalty. Solid. -
5 Ess Off the bench interchanging with Moore, and looked the bigger threat of the pair. Might keep his spot on that display. 4
6 Geel Big man provided a target both forward and in the ruck. Got a great capacity to drop a mark. 4
7 Carl Ruckwork OK but hardly the conditions for his type. Improved when the ball dried in second half. 3
8 VFL Imposing in attack with four goals from eight marks. -
9 Senior emergency.

20 VFL Excellent in the ruck. 23 touches, 10 marks, 27 hitouts and two goals. -
21 Port More than held his own against the best tap ruckman in the league Paddy Ryder in the absence of the suspended Brodie Grundy. 7
22 Geel Big Cox jagged two first-term goals but then drifted out of the game. Five disposals after quarter time. 3
23 Melb Started in the ruck and spent time forward. Two goals in second half were important. Pies need to keep him. 6
