1 Rich Late inclusion gained great experience but is likely to get sent back to VFL next week. 2
2 Melb Took some impressive intercept marks to highlight his talent. Blues have found a good one down back. 6
3 Ess Third-gamer didn’t have an impact but the experience of the day and winning will do him the world of good. 1
4 GCS Had a horror moment in the third term when his kick was smothers in the goalsquare and converted. Hampered by leg issue. 4
5 Port Was left helpless in defence with the footy consistently being pumped inside-50. 3
6 Rested.
7 VFL Worked into the game to play a nice role after half time. 16 possessions and four inside-50s. -
8 VFL Not a big stats game, but did what was needed in defence. -
9 VFL Up and down day in defence. Had better outings so far this year. -
10 NM Not disgraced, and will be better for the run after a month in the VFL. 4

12 VFL Steady game in defence. 11 possessions, four rebounds and four tackles. -
13 VFL Up and down in the back half. Did some good things, but then made a few mistakes. He'll get better. -
14 VFL One of the better Blues on a dirty day. Not big numbers, but defended well mostly. -

16 Melb Youngster had roles on Kent among others. Quiet offensively but couple of handy defensive efforts. 3
17 VFL Was good, one of the blues' top ball winners with 23 deposals. Ball use needs cleaning up, though. -
18 Bris Was part of a very loose defence early on. Spent some time on Walker. Had better games. 4

20 VFL Battled get into the tempo of the game down back. -
