2017 Season

1 Bris Solid across half back and made wise decisions on when to defend and when to attack. 6
2 GWS Had his hands full down back with GWS’s small forwards. Tried hard but outmatched. 4
3 Haw Solid and reliable in defence. Kept his opponents quiet and was efficient with the footy. 6
4 Carl Won’t win any style competitions, but did his bit in the back half. 5
5 Adel Spent time minding a variety of Crows small forwards, and stuck to the role well. 6
6 NM Wasn’t a big factor in defence. 3
7 Geel Defensively was good on Menzel and did what he could going the other way. Developing player for the Suns. 6
8 Port Moved forward in second term and got first goal of career. Little impact overall. 4
9 Bye.
10 Melb Did a couple of nice things, but was a bit slow to get rid of the ball at others. 3
11 WCE Performed his usual defensive role and stuck to the task. 6
12 Haw Half-back did his job with minimum of fuss. Real role player who gets the job done in the back half. 6
13 Carl Spent time on Dale Thomas and did a reasonable job quelling his influence. 5
14 StK Youngster in defence played his part. 5
15 NEAFL Played his role in the win well. -
16 Did some good things, but was also under the pump a bit.
17 NEAFL Defender found plenty of it and used it well when he did. 10 contested possessions was good to see. -
18 NEAFL One of the Suns' best today. Defender did his job and also added value the other way with 23 touches. -
19 Rich Spent the majority on Caddy who managed to find plenty of space. Used footy efficiently (100%). 4
20 Frem Took a long time to get into the game. 3
21 Bris OK early but completely dropped off. Failed to add to his 15 disposals in final term. 4
22 Ess Spent a bit of time in attack and was OK. Used the footy well and gave his all. 5
23 Back.

2016 Season

1 Played in NEAFL trial against Brisbane.
2 Injured.
3 NEAFL Found it hard to get into the game. Just 10 touches. -
4 NEAFL Did well in the back half and grew in confidence as the game wore on. -
5 NEAFL Laid eight tackles to go with his 18 touches. Hard worker. -
6 NEAFL Bye. -
7 NEAFL Worked hard in the back half and through middle for his 29 possessions. -
8 NEAFL One of the few bright spots with 21 touches and eight rebound 50s. -
9 Didn’t play for Gold Coast reserves.
10 NEAFL Battled away without much support in thumping defeat to Lions. -
11 Syd Did some nice things on debut. 3
12 Rich Second-gamer struggled to get into the contest. Four effective disposals. 1
14 Haw Spent time on Breust/Puopolo and certainly didn’t look out of place. Goof effort. 5
15 StK Minor contributor but did nothing wrong. 3
16 Bris Limited involvement, but was polished with what he did. 3
17 WB Used mostly down back and tried hard despite being under constant pressure. 4
18 Frem Struggled to have a big impact, might be due for a NEAFL spell. 2
19 Melb Stats not huge but defended pretty well when he needed to. Looks a player. 4
20 GWS Composed with his 15 possessions. Beginning to look comfortable at senior level. 5
21 Ess Played mostly in back half and rarely sighted. 2
22 NEAFL Responded well to AFL axing. Took a lot of care with disposal, especially by foot. -
23 Port Not a big night but made his disposals count. 4
