2016 Digest:   The tall defender didn’t do much wrong in half a dozen senior games, but like others has to wait for his chance in this outfit. Now really pushing to get a senior berth and has done everything right in pre-season.

2016 NAB Cup:   Nothing wrong with three games in defence, but can’t push past others at present.

2016 Season

Played for : Hawthorn

1	Geel	Toiled away in defence but conceded too much room to Cats’ opponents.	5
2	WCE	Took the resting ruckman and was OK but didn’t have a great deal to do.	5
3	WB	Played a role down back but didn’t create much run and carry. On the fringes.	4
4	StK	Stationed down back and wasn’t really a factor.	3
5	VFL	Did fairly well in the back half. Defended stoutly and got a bit of the ball.	–
6	VFL	Steady game across half back and repelled Frankston attacks when needed.	–
7	VFL	Bye.	–
8	VFL	Not his best outing in the defensive half.	–
9	VFL	Tried hard in the back half but couldn’t quite hold Casey out for long enough.	–

11	VFL	Excellent in defensive role for the Hawks against North Ballarat.	–
13	VFL	Steady game at half-back and pressing up through the middle.	–
14	VFL	OK effort without standing out in defence.	–

16	VFL	Provided good drive out of back half and used it reasonably well.	–
17	Syd	Defensively did some neat things but just two kicks for the night.	2

19	VFL	Not his best outing and needs to rediscover form ahead of finals.	–
20	VFL	Racked up the touches. Had six inside-50s and five rebounds. All round game.	–
21	VFL	Steady game without starring in important win over Sandringham.	–
22	VFL	Cleaned up in defence well at times to be a handy contributor.	–

17	Carl	Hit target with every one of touches and didn’t look out of place.	5

2014 Season

2	Ess	Modest stats but did a few nice things and wore opponents tight.	4

5	VFL	In and out of the game. Battled a touch.	–
6	VFL	Rebounded well from the back pocket.	–

11	GWS	Produced great stops defensively and played a key role in win. Big positive.	7

13	Carl	Defensively he looks a real prospect. Stats modest but did his job.	4
14	Coll	Fought bravely to contain Elliott but had his colours lowered.	4

18	Syd	Got caught out on Franklin at times and that did not end well. Kept battling.	5

2013 Season

1	PM	Composed effort in defence. Improved player.	–

6	VFL	Solid effort. Caught the eye at times with his creativity.	–

8	VFL	Good even duel with Spencer in the ruck. Fair.	–
