2017 Digest:   Second-year forward has added weight to his frame over summer. Just needs as many games as quickly as possible.

2017 Season

1	GCS	Not a huge impact in the match, though he made his possessions count.	4
2		Senior emergency.
3	NEAFL	Superb with his ball-winning in midfield to end with 39 disposals and six inside-50s.	–
4	NEAFL	Solid outing working up off half forward. Had 28 touches and kicked a goal.	–
5	WB	Used forward and back. Two goals and five tackles. Small contribution and something to work with.	4
6	Port	Opposed to Polec and did a reasonable job, whilst still getting his share of the footy.	7
7	Syd	Won some contested ball off a wing and booted a third-term goal. Looking more comfortable at senior level.	5
8	Haw	Found himself involved in some nice passages of play but relatively quiet day with 13 disposals.	4
9	Adel	Almost half of his 16 disposals were ineffective.	4
10	Coll	Looked a little fumbly at times and made mistakes with ball in hand; 11 disposals and little impact.	3

12	NEAFL	Just the 13 touches in midfield and at half forward. Laid five tackles though.	–
13	NEAFL	Excellent with 26 touches, six tackles and two goals. Ball use was very good.	–
14	NEAFL	Big ball winner in midfield and at half forward. 33 possessions, five clearances.	–
15	NEAFL	Best afield in a big win. 34 touches, seven clearances and four goals. Impressive.	–
16	NEAFL	Big effort. 28 possessions, seven inside 50s and seven clearances.	–
17	Rich	Combative at half forward and in midfield. Kicked a couple of goals when he found space.	6

2016 Season

1		Played in NEAFL trial against Gold Coast.
2	NEAFL	Had the ball on a string in midfield with 39 possessions. Brave.	–
3	NEAFL	Backed up last week’s huge effort with another 30 possessions. Going well.	–
4	NEAFL	Again the Lions’ best in midfield. One of the few to show any resistance.	–
5	NEAFL	Not as big of an outing in terms of possessions, but kicked three handy goals.	–
6	Syd	Celebrated first game with a goal. Seemed to do enough to get a second game.	5
7	Port	Had four attempts at goal and missed them all.	5
8	Coll	Just four disposals until half time. Lifted late in game but too little, too late.	5
9	Melb	One goal and missed a couple of other chances playing as a mid-sized forward.	3
10	Haw	Got more involved as the game wore on and used the ball cleanly by hand.	3
11	Carl	Not a lot but laid five tackles and showed class on a couple of occasions.	5
12	Frem	Struggled to get involved with only one kick.	1
13	WCE	Settled in attack but out of his depth. Had just two kicks.	4
14	Rich	Struggled to get into the game and looked off the pace on transition.	2
16	NEAFL	Consistent performer with 24 touches, three clearances in midfield.	–
17	GWS	Came in as a late inclusion but hard to say if he did enough to avoid being omitted.	5
18	Ess	Quiet outing and looked a bit off the pace compared with teammates.	3
19	Port	Involved a couple of good passages of play and had three scoring assists so far from the worse.	5
20	Adel	OK across half back with three rebound-50s and five tackles.	6
21	Carl	Rookie still on a learning curve and did a couple of use things.	4
22	Geel	Could not get into the game at all playing across half forward. Four kicks.	2
23	StK	Showed he has something to work on and coach impressed with year.	4
