2017 Season

Played for : Essendon

1 Haw Worked hard throughout, but not as prolific as he can be. Kicked two important goals though to keep momentum flowing. 6
2 Bris Started in great style with seven disposals. Then just played out his role. 5
3 Carl Really a non-factor for the his team which was disappointing given game slowed down to suit his dour style. 4
4 Adel Did not get his hands on the footy enough to hurt the Crows, spent most of the night in the back half. 5
5 Coll Came off the bench as relief onballer. A couple of good moments but quiet afternoon. 3
6   Senior emergency.
7 Frem The big ground was suited to his run but he couldn’t provide the energy. 5
8 VFL Rarely wasted a disposal – had 25 touches. Good contributor, but are his cards marked?
9 VFL Used in back half for long periods and while okay, wasn’t his absolute best.
10 VFL Unable to get much going on the day. 15 touches, but at least used it pretty well.
11 GWS Back in the team and got a bit of the ball, but a long way off the play he once was. 5
12 VFL Didn’t get a truckload of the footy but was steady enough. Can't see him breaking back in soon though.
13   Bye.
14 VFL Okay without being great. 19 possessions, but provided good leadership.
15 VFL Worked into the game for 20 possessions and did some good work in second half.
16 VFL Did what he has done for much of the year. Got a bit of the footy, but wasn’t a real force.
17 VFL Had a massive 38 touches. Will struggle to get back in seniors if they still healthy, but at least he is a reliable backup.
18 VFL His stats won't show it, but he had a good first half.
19 VFL Solid day for the seasoned AFL player. 28 disposals at 85.7 percent efficiency and five inside 50s.
20 VFL Bye.
21   Didn’t play for Essendon VFL.
22 VFL Won the ball well and distributed it smartly in nail-biting win.
23 VFL Good ball winner as always and drove the Bombers into attack on six occasions.
