2015 Digest:   Veteran half-back returns for a third season. Insurance policy should injuries hit the defence but for the club to go forward he can’t be an every week player.

2015 NAB Cup:   Veteran defender got through the pre-season without incident. Played well in romp against the Pies.

2014 Season

1 WCE Defensive role on Hurn for most part and OK. Disposal needs works. 5
2 PM Up and down. Used ball well but made some bad decisions.
3 VFL Slow start but got better as the game wore on.
4 VFL Worked into the game to be a good contributor.
5   Suspended.  
6 VFL Won plenty of ball in midfield and used it well.
7 VFL Best for Footscray in midfield and at half back.
8 VFL Not his best outing, but teammates picked up the slack.
9 VFL Bye.
10 GCS Subbed out after having no impact in two and a half quarters. 1
11 VFL Bye.
12 VFL Back to some good form with 24 disposals and a goal.
13 VFL Distributed the ball well off half back. Used his body well.
14 VFL Continued his strong VFL form. Composure a feature.
15 VFL Controlled the midfield with his composure and ball use.
16 VFL Clean with ball in hand when others struggled. 23 touches.

1 Bris Confident and assured start down back in terrific debut. 6
2 Frem Didn’t have same space as last week and made some blues but kept battling. 6
3 Rich Taken deep for Tiger forwards and kicking was a bit off. 3
4 Adel Wins plenty of the footy unfortunately turns it over too many times in defence. 6
5 Geel Handy from the back half. MRP will take an interest in bump on Caddy. 5

8 GCS Good return to the side and is a cool head in defence. 6
9 StK Prepared to work hard either running off defence or later in attack 6
10 Port Continued his strong first year. Handled the ball well in the humid conditions. 7
12 Coll Matched on J.Thomas early. Did a few handy things down back. 6
13 Rich Kept King goalless and was involved in a few skirmishes. OK with being at his best. 5

15 GWS Showed the benefits of a week on the sidelines with one of his best games this year. 7
