2017 Season

1	Port	Buttered up in defence to be third across and showcased his sublime play reading. Another Corey Enright in the making.	7
2	WB	Not as good as previous week but kept battling. Free kick against for deliberate rushed behind late in the game was critical.	5
3	Coll	Star youngster does his work with the minimum of fuss. Has played better games but still offered something from the back half.	6
4	WCE	Barely sighted in the first half with just four touches. Lifted after main break with some courageous efforts.	5
5	GWS	On Steve Johnson early and was one of the better Swans. Leadership shows through already.	6
6	Carl	Blues’ exploited his loose checking at times and were happy to tell him all about it. Battled hard but was quiet.	5
7	Bris	Not really a factor early for much of the afternoon and late spoil on Berry will be looked at by MRP.	4
8	NM	Always cool under pressure down back	6
9	StK	Good duel with Membrey and won a lot of ball in general play at half back.	6
10	Haw	Good in patches, but not at the level he showed last season.	5

12	WB	Started game superbly then faded like your grandma’s couch in the front room. Had nine disposals after quarter time.	4
13	Rich	Struggled at times down back but did lift tempo in second half. Hit target with 17 of his 19 possessions.	6
14	Ess	Played his part at half back and won some important duels with the game in the balance.	7
15	Melb	Knocked out early by Bugg punch and played no further part.	0
16	GCS	22 possessions a week after having his lights dimmed by Bugg, confidence booster.	7
17	GWS	Looked shaky early with a couple of shanked kicks, but did his role.	5
18	StK	Switched onto Jack Steven when he went forward in third term. Even game across four quarters.	6
19	Haw	21 disposals down back, did his part.	6
20	Geel	Young half-back did what he had to without setting the world on fire. Four tackles and intercepted at times.	5
21	Frem	Found more of the ball as the game wore on. Defended like a 10-year veteran as always.	6
22	Adel	More of lock down role in defence than his usual rebounding displays.	5
23	Carl	Displayed his typical amount of courage in defence, and added some offensive weaponry with 20 touches.	7
EF	Ess	Read the flight of the pill well and took some nice intercept mark. Steady all night down back.	7
SF	Geel	Tried hard but trying is good in leagues that offer halftime organs ands certificates. OK.	6

2016 Season

1	Coll	Had 18 touches on debut and was composed when under pressure. Steady start.	5
2	Carl	Started slowly but worked into the game after the main break. 19 touches.	6
3	GWS	Serviceable in the back half. Took two impressive contested marks.	4
4	Adel	As courageous as they come, showed real poise and quality.	7
5	WCE	Again the kid looked calm and assured in defence.	5
6	Bris	Used at both ends and faded in last term with only one touch in last quarter.	5
7	Ess	Fulfilled his role in the back half despite making a few errors.	4
8	Rich	OK across half back without having a big influence on proceedings.	5
9	Haw	In defence on Puopolo initially then spent time on Gunston which was a big wrap.	5
10	NM	Played part at half back and didn’t look overawed. Club will be happy with progress.	6
11		Managed.
12	GWS	Serviceable in back half and willing to work hard in close. Half his touches were contested.	5
13	Melb	OK without starring at half-back. Didn’t do a great deal wrong.	5
15	WB	A quality young defender shifted off Stringer when the Bulldog fired.	5
16	Geel	Brilliant from half back. Plays more like a 114-gamer than a 14-gamer.	8
17	Haw	Took Breust/Puopolo and was good in the role. Won his share of one-on-ones.	6
18	Carl	Opposed mainly to Armfield and kept him honest. Also found a lot of ball in defensive half.	7
19	Frem	Composed off half-back. Does so much right.	6
20	Port	Took Wingard for long periods in a great educational role and did well.	6
21	StK	Good game over four quarters in defence.	5
22	NM	Reads the play so well in backline. Took 10 marks and had a game-high 10 rebound-50s.	8

QF	GWS	Huge task on Johnson who had four shots for goal in first half. Injured hamstring late in second term.	2

GF	WB	Youngster returned from injury with a reasonable effort but few damaging disposals.	4
