2017 NAB Cup:

2017 Season

1 NM Played his part in midfield. Now the fourth or fifth best midfielder at the club 6
2 StK A strong performance with 27 disposals and two goals. Worked really hard to provide run. 6
3 Rich Had a quiet game up until three quarter time, then had a great last quarter amassing 10 disposals to try and get his team over the line. 6
4 Syd Not a big ball-winner in early contests. Ended with 20 touches, but wasn’t a major factor. 5
5 Haw Off the pace early in the midfield. Either fumbled or made more decisions/executions. Better late but game was shot. 5
6 Frem Had a heap of the ball with 32 touches but wasn’t as damaging as many of his teammates. 6
7 Port Just travelling at the moment, is doing plenty of gut running with little reward. 5
8 WB Worked hard and preferred to handball to set up his team. Had eight kicked and 19 handballs. 7
9 Ess Got a bit of ball in midfield but butchered it. Just three effective kicks. 4
10 GWS Wasn’t damaging despite 21 possessions. 5
11 WAFL Big ball winner in rare WAFL outing. 28 possessions, five clearances in the win.
12   Bye.
13 WAFL Had 31 touches, but only half his kicks hit the target. Has to be better for a player of his calibre.
14 WAFL Did well in midfield with 33 touches and eight clearances. Did what was needed.
15 WB Back in the side in familiar wing/back flank role. A reliable if unspectacular contributor these days. 4
16 WAFL Bye.
17 Frem Kicked poorly. Has to improve his disposal to stay in the team. 3
18 WAFL Among the best with 27 possessions, five marks, four tackles and three inside 50s.
19 WAFL Starred with 38 disposals. Seems to be too good for WAFL, not good enough for AFL at this stage of his career.
20 StK A couple of nice breakaways early in the day then only a moderate game. 4
21 WAFL Won a truckload of ball in midfield. 34 possessions and four clearances.
22 WAFL Just fair in midfield with 19 touches.
23 WAFL Racked up the touches, but could have been more efficient.
EF   Senior emergency.
SF   Senior emergency.

22 Haw Worked hard and had 30 touches. Ran all night. 7
23 Adel Quality display through the midfield and across halfback. 7

4   Hamstring.
5 Port One of the Eagles best. Kept working hard and winning the ball – 30 disp. 7
6 Carl Couldn’t handle Yarran early but one of the few Eagles to tackle reliably. 6
7 Frem Worked hard both ways but didn’t get enough of it to be a factor. 6
8 GWS More damaging than his opponent Scully who also got a bit of the ball. 7
10 Coll Dangerous around ball and in space. Subbed out late with hamstring strain. 7
11 NM Negating half-forward role on Atley and won a lot of the ball himself. 5
12 Haw Not damaging with his 19 possessions. 4
13 GCS Not spectacular but did OK in the Eagles’ midfield. 5
14 StK Stats were more impressive than his actual influence on game. 5
15 Frem Failed to get a clearance in midfield which highlighted Eagles issues. 4
16 Syd Got a bit of ball but was far too loose on McVeigh and the Swan played a big role. 5
17 Bris Worked hard on a wing, seeing off Adcock and Beams. 7

19 Adel Got under the guard of the Crows midfield with four clearances, four inside-50s. 7
