2014 Season

Played for : Carlton

1 Port Played deep in defence and not much say in first half. Figured in third only. 3
2 Rich Long probing runs and delivery in second half made a big difference. 7
3 Ess Butchered the ball out of defence and only a couple of darting runs. 3
4 Melb Two goals and won some ball but skills have deserted him when it matters. 5
5 WB Good contribution, his incisive run always a problem for Bulldogs. 6
6 WCE Looked fantastic until getting subbed out with an injury. 5
7   Hamstring.
8 StK Four goals, including one brilliant five-bounce effort in second term. Among best. 7
10 Adel Brilliant first half helped set up lead. Couple of iffy efforts late in defence. 6
11 Bris One player who looked likely to ignite Carlton in second half. Silly report. 6
12 Geel Dashed through the midfield and off half back to be a real factor. 7
13 Haw Why he was left deep all night in defence was staggering given recent form. 3
14 GWS Another Blue to endure a quiet day, eight bounces his only highlight. 5
15 Coll Blues’ best. Run and rebound from half back superb and trounced Elliott. 8
16 StK Cut Saints’ apart at times and got on the end of things for three goals. 7
17 Syd Very little impact at all on the match. 4
18 NM Best afield in first half and cut through North. Quiet later. 6
19 Frem Gave drive and run sweeping from the back half. Did fade. 6

12 VFL In and out of the game without starring. Nice 55m goal though.
14 Syd Started as the sub again. Came on and had an impact with his clean hands and tackling. 3

17 NM Tagged by Hine and had minimal impact first half apart from tackles. 4
18 GCS Faded out of the contest after two early goals. 4

21 Rich Had some moments but another quiet afternoon. 4
22 Ess If only he kicked straight. An almost game from the number 13. 6
23 Port The Blues’ enigma, when he is hot he is unstoppable, and he was at times. 8

11 Geel Missed crucial goal in final term (after subbing on) that could have swung game. 1
12 WCE Still finding his feet and subbed out after failing to flatter. 2
13 VFL Slow start but worked into the game late. Got through OK.
14 Haw Won a share of kicks but rarely did he look dangerous. 5
15 Coll Run and carry from the back half dynamite, and impact enormous. 9
