2017 Season

1 Frem Quiet game but got through and will get better with each minute he plays. Late inclusion for Smith. 3
2 NM Still finding his feet in defence. Defended okay but didn’t offer much by way of offensive rebound. 2
3 Melb Still struggling to find his feet and failed to get involved to any degree either defensively or offensively. 2
4 Haw Quiet game in terms of touches but found some confidence with a few touches and a goal in final term. 4
5 StK Probably best game of the year although did fade as game dragged on. Just needs more game time. 4
6   Senior emergency.  
7 GCS Still struggling. Spoiled well when needed to but in terms of offence he was very quiet with 11 disposals. 3
8 VFL One of the few winners on the day for a Cats team that were badly beaten.
9 VFL One of the Cats best down back. 27 possessions and five rebounds. Had a hand in a few scores.

11 VFL In and out, but a long way from his best. Just the 11 possessions.

13 VFL Starting to find some footy; 28 disposals, four rebound 50s and three tackles. Back to senior footy?
14 VFL Won six clearances to go with 23 disposals and a few assists. Steady.
15   Didn’t play for Geelong VFL.  
16 VFL Quieter game and made some mistakes with both kicks and handballs.
17 VFL Played well with 27 disposals and managed to kick a goal.
18 VFL Found plenty of it but was underwhelming in his impact. Needs to find his awareness
19 Carl First game since Round 7. Quiet early but worked into the game. Second half good foundation for next week. 5
20 Syd Couple of good patches and he finds his feet. Third quarter was his best with eight of his 23 disposals. 6
21 Rich Best game since returning from a serious knee injury. Started slowly but gained confidence as the game progressed. 7
22 Coll Played on a wing but never a huge factor with 16 possessions. At least gave some support to others. 4
23 VFL One of Geelong's best in upset win. 25 possessions and 10 tackles.

2015 Season

3 GCS Showed some real poise from the back half. Great return after serious injury. 6
4 NM Battled away in defence (on the taller Brown at times). Did what he could. 3
5 Rich Great first half (14 disposals) and continued that on. Played with poise. 8
6 Coll Huge again. Hit targets, read ball well and appears to have arrived. 7
7 Syd Great again. Plays with a poise and read the play brilliantly. 7
8 Carl Poise and balance at half back again a feature. Breakout year. 7
9 WCE Not his night. Under pressure at times and looked out of sorts. 4
10 Ess Did what was required at half back. Rising Star nom surely comes his way. 7
11 Port Hit targets and worked hard to be a factor up the ground. 6
12 Melb Very quiet down back. Caught out of position at times and couldn’t rebound. 3
15 NM Not huge stats but did a few good things with ball delivery to teammates. 5
16 WB Quiet on stats sheet but did some tough things and didn’t make mistakes. 5
17 GWS Modest stats but did his bit across half back. Read the play well. 5
18 Bris Subbed out after a steady but quiet performance across half-back. 4
19 Syd Great first term a highlight of a steady performance. Took some nice marks. 6
20 Haw One of his quieter games but not disgraced. Might be getting tired. 4
21 StK Youngster was a steady presence without hurting Saints to any large degree. 5
22 Coll Three kicks first half. Tried to lift rating after main break but tough to do so. 4
23 Adel Not his best game but year has been a huge positive on the season. 4

2014 Season

1 PM Had 25 touches dashing off half back.
2 PM Did everything right and might come in for Enright.
3 VFL Did what was required. A chance for a call up.
4   Found plenty of the ball at half back and kicked a goal.  
5   Senior emergency.  
6 Port Pace of game found him out and skills were off playing half back. 3
7   Senior emergency.  
8 VFL Bye.
9 VFL Clean with ball in hand but didn’t get it enough.
10 VFL Kicked a goal and had 19 touches. Solid but not outstanding.
11 VFL Bye.
12 VFL Classy with ball in hand and took a game-saving mark late.
13 VFL Used ball well coming out of defence to set up Cats’ attacks.
14 VFL Did well in patches but wasn’t a four-quarter performer.
15 VFL Used ball superbly in wet conditions. A class above at times.
16 VFL In and out of the game. 16 possessions.
17 VFL Classy effort with two goals and 18 possessions.
18 VFL Used in a number of roles and looks a class above. Two goals.
19 VFL Had it 19 times and was in and out of the game.
20 VFL Used it well, kicked a goal. 23 touches to be among best.
21 Carl Sub. Claimed Yarran’s scalp in a one-one and kicked a goal. Should have had two. 2
22 Haw Great experience. Mixed good with a few mistakes but will be better. 3
23 Bris Great second half (13 disposals) and will be borderline for this week. 6

1 VFL Kicked a goal but appeared to be still finding his feet.

3 VFL Impressive. Marked strongly at times and used the ball well.
4 VFL Kicked a nice goal and did some good things.
5   Rested.  
6 VFL Did well with ball in hand. Made great decisions.
7 Ess Debutant’s first half was huge (13 disp). Faded later but was impressive. 6
8 Coll Big positive. Played like a 100-gamer. Led side on score assists (four). 6
9 Port Quiet offensively down back but did what he had to defensively. 3
10   Rested.  
11 GWS Kid did well. Used footy when he got it and was steady without starring. 6
13 VFL Played his part in the Cats big win over Port Melbourne.
14 VFL Did well until a heavy hit late saw him leave the field with a facial injury.

18 VFL First game back and got through OK. Played his part.
19 VFL Pushed forward for a goal and was fairly good at half back.

23 VFL Had 20 possessions and provided good run and drive.
