2017 Season

1 Melb One of a handful of Saints who posed a threat after St Kilda's original bursts. Smart footballer. 6
2 WCE Off target. Kicked 1.3. Could have had a big night. 5
3 Bris Crumbed early goal highlighted his class, and spent more time in midfield. Not big numbers, but good impact. 6
4 Coll Lovely front-and-centre goal in second term. Occasionally got clear but limited influence. 4
5 Geel Horror day. A dropped mark early in the final term helped turn momentum as it ended in Dangerfield goal. 3
6 Haw Quiet first half in attack and midfield but a bit better after half time to end with two goals. 4
7 GWS Small forward struggled to impact. early One kick in the first half then came alight to kick three second-half goals. Handy effort. 6
8 Carl Had to some nice moments forward of centre but failed to cash in on the scoreboard. 5
9 Syd Everything he did was quality but there just wasn’t enough of it. 5
10 WB Lifted late after three quiet quarters. Needs to get possession count up. 4

12 Adel Had the clamps put on him by one of the best small defenders in the game, Rory Laird. 4
13 NM Class often showed in a game which never rose above the mundane. 6
14 GCS Took the mark of the day then inexcusably missed the shot for goal. Summed up Saints' day. 5
15 Frem Lively in front half with 17 disposals and three goals. Showed cool head in minute stages to seal the win. 7
16 Rich More slices of magic in an excellent game in the front half. 7
17 Ess Only flashed in a couple of times and was quiet overall. 4
18 Syd Lack of ball supply and close attention by Smith neat he had a sparse night. 3
19 Port Limited touches and Saints wanted him to get out the back more. 3
20 WCE Hurt his ankle late in day but kept going til the end. 5
21 Melb Allowed Hunt to torch him in the first term going the other way. Got better but had just two effective kicks. 3
22 NM Won more of the ball than he has done lately and his usage was also better than it has been. 6
23 Rich Kicked three of the side’s four opening half goals and ended with five in a great effort for a small forward. 8

2016 Season

1 Port Joined the elite list of players who have scored goals with their first kick in footy. 4
2 WB Missed a few targets and looked a bit off the pace in second game. 3
3 VFL Found more of the ball (24 disposals) after a taste at AFL footy in opening two rounds.
4   Senior emergency.  
5 VFL Good day with 32 possessions playing more through midfield than he has previously.
6 Melb Youngster did a couple of nice things. 3
7 NM Burst into play at times. Creativity and awareness handy for a kid. 4
8 WCE Youngster did manage to show a little bit in the wreckage. 4
9 Ess Didn’t win big stats, but managed to figure in a couple of smart attacking moves. 3
10 Frem Small youngster has plenty of footy smarts and looked good at times. 4
11 Adel Kicked a really good goal and showed plenty of clever cameo efforts. 5
12 Carl Opening goal and a superb major in last term. Kid who knows his way around. 5
14 Geel Magical step around opponent brought great goal late in day. More midfield work ahead. 6
15 GCS Couple of nice goals and wasn’t the worst. 4
16 Ess Potent little man who is developing all the time. 6
17 Melb Impressed with ability to read the ball. Delivers footy to position. 5
18 WB Again kicked magic goal and showed great skills. 5
19 NM Handy. Had the chance to lift side with brilliant step around two but kicked behind. 4
20 Carl Incisive kid with real footy smarts and sliced through Blues. 7
21 Syd Clever young mall man was good at times. 5
22 Rich Creative and positive game. Has become a valued member of midfield unit. 6
