2017 Digest:   Played some handy games in 2016 as a half forward and part-time mid. Shuffled back over summer with the new additions.

2017 NAB Cup:  

2017 Season

1		–
2	Carl	Came back into the team and made the most of the opportunity. 24 touches, five tackles and a few key involvements late.	7
3	Geel	Struggled to get into the contest apart from one goal. Missed a couple of chances through fumbles.	3
4	Frem	Kicked a couple of goals, but missed an easy one in the third term which gave Freo some momentum.	6
5	Rich	Steady game without being spectacular. At times can look to do one thing too many in back half.	5
6	VFL	Responded well to AFL axing with 22 touches and worked hard defensively against the Cats.	–
7	VFL	Going well until copping a boot to the head which left a might gash. Didn’t feature thereafter.	–
8	VFL	Casey's best and responded in fine fashion. 34 possessions and seven clearances.	–
9		Senior emergency.
10	GCS	Back into the team and provided some grunt, as well as good finishing in attack. Three goals.	6
11		Bye.
12	Coll	Slow start, but kicked a goal and was cool enough late when the game was hectic.	5
13	WB	Continued to run hard no matter how tired he was. Only downside was his finishing ­– booted 1.4.	6
14	WCE	His run when others were tired was important.	6
15	Syd	Quiet first half then shocking miss in third term put a stop to Dees momentum.	4
16	Carl	Flitted in and out of the game; 19 disposals, four inside-50s and 233 metres gained.	6
17	Adel	Had 17 touches and drifted in and out. No real impact though as the game wore on.	4
18	Port	Good contributor early on, the had a few patches but wasn’t a massive factor.	5
19	NM	In and out of the contest through middle and at half forward.	4
20	GWS	One of the few to gets his hands on the ball early. Then drifted in and out of the game.	5
21	StK	Three first term goals gave the Dees the perfect start. Drifted out of the game for a while, but then handy late.	7
22	Bris	Not as prominent as last week, but bobbed up with an important final quarter goal.	4
23	Coll	Quiet first half and struggled to get any space forward of centre.	3

2016 Season

1	GWS	Good crumbing goal in first term but made a few errors. Not his best outing.	3
2	Ess	Struggled to get into game and allowed opponents to rebound off him too often.	3
3	NM	Can’t question his enthusiasm or willingness to put his body on the line.	5
4	Coll	Even performance throughout. Rebounded well and created for others. Five inside-50s.	6
5	Rich	Minor role but played it well. Kicked a goal and not frightened to get in the face of the Tigers.	3
6	StK	Had a couple of wobbly moments but wasn’t bad overall.	5
7	GCS	Found plenty of space and broke the line through half back to boot three goals.	8
8	WB	Tried to apply pressure in forward half and had his moments. Three inside-50s, five tackles.	5
9	Bris	Four goals but butchered a few simple opportunities with poor decisions/kicks inside 50.	6
10	Port	Wasn’t afforded as much space to move as he was against Brisbane. Not his best outing.	4
11	Haw	Missed a couple of gettable set shots, which would have been very handy.	3
12		Senior emergency.
13	VFL	Won a lot of his own ball in midfield and was lively when he went forward.	–

15	Adel	Used in back half on return to team and linked well at times. A bit loose defensively though.	5
16	Frem	Started well at half-back and provided a springboard into attack. Quieter in second half.	5
17	StK	Started well at half-back but too many handballs to put teammates under pressure.	4
18	WCE	Had his moments but managed only 13 disposals.	5
19	GCS	Plenty of ball running from defence but butchered it a bit. Head knock in marking contest but was OK.	4
20	Haw	Did a fine job on Breust and won plenty of ball himself. Strong effort.	7
21	Port	Took on Impey and kept him goalless.	5
22		Senior emergency.
23	Geel	At least produced an effort to grab 21 disposals but impact not commensurate.	5
